Woot! Well while waiting for ame to tranlate her review, thought I'd share a technogeek article about the sound processing technology Adam is up against / has available to him. Scarily fascinating: www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct03/articles/vocalfixes.htm Vocal Fixes Modern Vocal Processing In Practice ...The vocal is the one element of a recording that can't yet be emulated by a computer, but it's increasingly encircled by a rapidly expanding pool of plug-in processors, the sheer availability of which seems to have precipitated a new era in vocal effectation. "[Plug-in processors] are like pretzels on a bar," says Nashville engineer/producer Bob Bullock, whose credits include the Tubes, Reba McEntire and Shania Twain. "They're within easy reach and you can't eat just one." *** (courtsey of fuzzywuzzy @mjs)

Adam Lambert ripped his pants on a gig (iltalehti.fi July 16, 2012) www.iltalehti.fi/viihde/2012071615849984_vi.shtmlFinland's son-in-law's leather pants did not endure the pressure on stage Pic: Adam Lambert became known for his success in American Idol contest. Adam Lambert who is dating Sauli Koskinen was performing as a singer for Queen in London where Lambert, who shot to fame from American Idol programme, experienced some embarrassing moments. His leather pants were ripped at his butt in the middle of the gig. The situation got even more comical due to the song he was singing at that moment: I want to break free. Links to their bit on Sauli's Fault picture and to a video on IL-TV of the song by Suz526. They also give credit and link to her YT video. On left (list of news content): Adam Lambert had an embarrassing situation on Queen gig - see video!

[/IMG] Some of Angelina's comments: Underneath is my absolute favourite song from this album and I will go so far as to say that it is the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard. This song reminds of the passionate arias we find in operas, some of which have been around for hundreds of years and still seem to be as popular as when they were first heard. This song seems a very worthy contender to share such longevity.
A stunning ballad, the lyrics in Underneath are again filled with so much imagery and the sweeping musical lines perfectly compliment Adam’s exposed soaring vocal line.
For the first time on the album his voice stands predominantly alone. Instead he’s making use of a kind of echo after some of the phrases, which is wonderfully effective.
Underneath is the perfect vehicle to showcase Adam’s beautiful voice with its phenomenal range, power, control, sensitivity and emotional intensity. At times it’s clear that he is drawing on his musical theatre experience in this song.soundbath.wordpress.com/2012/07/12/adam-lamberts-trespassing-the-vocal-review/I've been wondering why nobody has suggested that Underneath could be the next single.
Bobo, while it may be a personal favorite, it is not single worthy that will go anyplace.
I think Undernearth's beauty can be compared to the most beautiful songs like John Lennon's Imagine or Eric Clapton's Tears in Heaven. They will never get old.

I'd say Underneath is maybe too worthy and wonderful to be played on the radio as there are preferred simple songs with even simpler lyrics. At least in my country it unfortunately works like that.... The fact that some songs get much airplay doesn't prove that they're in good quality :(

Lol, while I am sure Shoshanna is happy enough with the chart results, there is absolutely no way she would ever say on twitter if she wasn't. I hope it is enough to get something going in the UK. They may be ready for a new single in the UK if Radio 1 is not biting. But, I don't think they should go ahead with another single in the US unless they have "figured out the radio situation," or have a brand-new strategy to sell a song. Can't they just buy out all the radio stations to play it? Not like they've got anything to lose at this point :dunno: ETA: BTW, from Radio 1's last.fm page... www.last.fm/user/bbcradio1/library/music/Adam+Lambert?rangetype=overallSays they've played NCOE twice :dunno: There was last night, when was the other play?
