No fan wars for me! ;D ;D ;D The list makes total sense! ;D ;D ;D Way to Go Adam!!!! Makes sense to me too. Oh, actually, no. I am surprised at Jordin being so high. And even if the figures are off, I'm sure the rankings are pretty close to correct!

Quasi-pulling numbers out of my ass (I did use a spreadsheet for rough cuts), I’d guess that of Adam’s $6M, about $3.5M was from touring, $1.5M was from music, and another $1M from from merchandise, meet n’ greets, etc.

I checked out that website and saw the Adam stats. Interesting, huh? Then I checked out Katy Perry and got a real sense of how far Adam has to go. He will get there and I bet after Adam#2 that he breaks the top 50.

Yeah - I found it fun. But we'll have plenty of OTHER numbers to concern ourselves with soon.

Well, this is just sad for David. I don't know what RCA can do, if anything.
26 Scotty McCreery “American Idol Season 10: Scotty McCreery EP” 14K (-17%; lw 17,241) Total: 86K (20)
73 David Cook “This Loud Morning” 6K (-23% ; lw 8K) Total: 72K (57) That's 72,000 in a month. Yikes! :(

Of course, the Cook stans fail to understand that if the first week's sales had been 200K, then this rate of erosion would be OK. And he'd be on his way to Gold. But at this rate, gee, will he even make 100,000? I mean, I knew it would not come close to his first album, but this is just pathetic! Where the hell do the Idol fans go??! (No, I still am not worried about Adam!)

That's the important part of your post! I don't know if Cook picked up many non-AI fans after his stint on the show. Adam obviously did - even on this board there are many who never watched the show. Still it's important to note that many of these fans are not from the US and perception of his success will be based on his US sales/radio play. Doncha think?

Perception of his success, on certain websites, will be based on his US sales. I don't care about them! LOL! But the important people, RCA/Sony, will base it on total sales. And his income will come from all his sales and touring. The 6 Million Dollar Man!
