Thank you, Stardust! I thought that is what it meant. My computer skills have got to expand if I'm gonna be able to communicate here. Everyone is so helpful. Hoopla1..I got your PM and REPLIED..I think... Yippee!!
YAY! It worked! You did it! Now, you have 2 more messages, lol! Lucky for you, I really do have to turn in now, or I'd be bending your ear for hours... ::) Congrats on mastering the pm!
Yes, have to agree. We like the male perspective. Kind of adds balance. Here's a question for you, when we go into the "shallow end" and post many pics and GIFs of Adam's best "features," would that bother you? Our other men seem to handle it quite well (I think.) How did you discover this board? Tell me "none of my business" if I am asking too many questions. It's fun to get new members.
I'll answer and see if it shows up. Should I be like Adam and just get the preliminaries out of the way right away? I will be very happy to swim, which is my specialty, in the shallow end with you if it includes what I assume it does. I don't think my type is as specific as Adam's but I find it very hard to believe that even before his fame he had to go home alone very often. I'm sure I will be learning a lot more about him but from the decent number of videos I've seen and the Glam Nation concert I attended in Melbourne, FL he is one hot guy. This is sounding like more and more fun and since I need a little more shallowness in my life bring it on.

Yeah, that ought to put me out like a warm glass of milk! Ha!
Hey, I just noticed your signature line--Pat Conroy! Prince of Tides! I love that book. We normally have a book thread here--don't know if it's been brought to this new site yet--but if you like to read, you're in good company.
Remember in P of T when Wingo says: At the end of every day I drive through the city of Charleston and I cross the bridge that will take me home. I feel the words building inside me, I can't stop them, or tell you why I say them, but as I reach the top of the bridge these words come to me in a whisper. I say these words as a prayer, as regret, as praise, I say: Lowenstein, Lowenstein.
Well, substitute Lambert, Lambert, and that's how I drove home every night after the last job I had. I have used Adam unmercifully to get through some bad spots. He gives me joy and hope. He came at a very opportune time for me.
Sorry for the saccharine meanderings, but that's what ya get for having that sig line!
That will be easier to do if he stops comparing himself to Adam. That would be my advice for him. better for him not to go there with the comparison.
....and perhaps he shouldn't sing the same songs Adam sang on Idol? A Change is Gonna Come....are you kidding me, James? LOL!
YES! He needs to stop invoking the name of Adam, if he wants his own identity.
I love Lyndsey Parker's Tweets tonight! ;D
lyndseyparker Lyndsey Parker Oh James Durbin, you did NOT just go there. 1 hour ago
Oh god now Jame Durbin is singing "A Change Is gonna come." #stop 1 hour ago
If James Durbin was aware of the passionate voting patterns of Glamberts, he would realize copying Adam Lambert is NOT a smart move. 1 hour ago

Glamnana.... lol about turning into a prune in the shallow end!! I don't believe I'd seen that latest kcinkcity vid. Thanks for posting!!! and I agree, hoopla... it ain't like a cup of warm milk! ::)
I don't even want to guess...but I feel bad for the kid for ever even mentioning Adam's name. He means it as a form of flattery to Adam, he obviously likes him, and I'll bet he couldn't foresee the rude shit headed his way. Hope he doesn't read all that crap. His life will be stressful enough just making it through the AI grinder for the next few months.
Well aren't they pretty much locked down now? Or is that just when the Top 12 are picked and they move to the House?
Does anyone know if they will be doing Themes this year.. I thought I had heard it would be more like decades instead of actual themes. oh and also next week are they cutting right down to the 12 or are they gonna drag it out? K that's all LOL
They are not doing genre themes this year. Next week they will do "sudden death" for the Top 12 or 13. The boys sing on Tuesday. The girls sing on Wed. Then top 5 of each goes on. Then the judges bring back 2 or 3 wild cards, to round out the finalists.

OK I just listened to James' AcIGC and the three Adam versions. At least he inspired me to relisten to this....the glitter version!
Even the 2004 Adam ACIGC was much more mature. At least he didn't use Adam's lyrics.

Me too. Oh, I am just sad they let that boy through. Where the hell is Simon Cowell when you need him? James is not the worst, I mean he is striving for Adam level perfection, that's very sweet, but the VFTW are going to have a field day with him. Sigh,,,,
well, there is some good talent this year on AI, but no one, no one will ever top Adam Fucking Lambert or hold my attention the way he does.
Thanks for the warm welcome! The warmth, caring, and positivity of this fan community are the main reasons for me coming out of "lurkdom" - also I love that it is so international - that's a big plus.
How did I get into Adam? Well, I never really followed Amer Idol, but my family did and urged me to check him out - I finally did at the end when he performed with Kiss and Queen. However, it really started when I was talking with a friend of my son's in W. Hollywood who had worked with Adam in Wicked, also as an understudy and member of the ensemble. The first thing he said was that Adam was a "great guy". He went on to say how that he was very creative, humble, hard working, and a great guy to be around (all the things we now know about him). My first time seeing Adam was Gridlock. I didn't quite know what to expect, but I was blown away by his raw talent, energy, and showmanship. It was an electric performance, and you couldn't help but catch his excitement - I'll never forget this. Gridlock is what sent me "down the rabbit hole". I was able to see 3 GlamNation shows as well - the last one that I saw was at the Music Box in Hollywood again with my son. We were in the balcony about 3 rows behind Adam's parents and friends - it was so cool seeing how happy everyone was that night - it was like a warm homecoming for Adam after months on the road. Afterwards we drove back to W. Hollywood down Gower Ave past Paramount where we first saw Adam at Gridlock and we felt like we had come full circle that year. So that's my Adam story.

blueberry: A tech question. When I post, I'm stuck in BB Code, can't get back to Preview. Any ideas? I have Preview as default in my profile, but that doesn't help.

Q3: blueberry. there should be a two labels on tabs at the bottom of the REPLY box -- one labeled Preview and one labeled BBCode. Can you see these or are they gone?
May 19, 2013 2:08:40 GMT -5
blueberry: Q3, I can still see the labels, but when I click on the Preview label, nothing happens. And every time I start a new post, it automatically takes me to BB Code. Otherwise it doesn't matter, but posting pictures would be easier in Preview (copy+paste).
