I am so happy about the steady weight loss I've been able to achieve ... I agree with lakato though ... it is the "keeping off" that is the unknown. I am going back to work next week so it will be a challenge to continue with my regime once I'm back into the whirlwind of schedules, stress, erratic meal/sleep times and multiple food temptations.

I must have an aversion to weighing in on Monday...forgot again! Anyhow I'm pleased to report no gain/no loss this week despite numerous overindulgences. Now I'm back on the straight & narrow again. Still at -5, 5 to go.
I may have been on a plateau & also may have been eating too many calories, so I've stayed on low-carb foods & counted calories last week. Gonna continue this week to see if I can lose a few more pounds. This makes 13 pounds lost so far, so next goal is 15 pounds - 2 more pounds to go.
YAY! I lost another pound--fianlly! I was WAY optimistic when I set a 25-lb. goal for such a short period of time, so I'm adjusting my schedule to Adam's--I still want to lose the whole 25 by April 20th or whatever the new #2 date turns out to be. It just isn't as easy for me this time.
I need something to help"creatively visualize" a thinner, healthier me having fun--and I WISH it could be Sonisphere on July 7, but that's not gonna happen. I AM THRILLED FOR ALLTHE ATOPPERS WHO ARE GOING, THOUGH! ;D
SO-- Burning Man is my main motivation. No way I carry around extra weight on the playa with the heat and all the walking or biking I'll want to do...so I'm visualizing "an unbearable lightness of being" PHYSICALLY as well as mentally!
Ok, you all know what to do. I'm holding steady at down -3. I'm so glad to see the rest of you with your much better successes. I've completed most of my rehab on my knee so I'm starting to walk the dogs again and ride my exercise bike.
I am stealing it too!! Great banner. Good news is I weighed myself Friday and Sunday, and I was staying at the one pound loss. I was almost going to cheat and give my Sunday weigh in, LOL...as we went out for dinner Saturday and Sunday, (actually I am pretty honorable ...but it crossed my mind). Anyway I did not have to cheat, as I weighed the same this morning. Slow and steady I guess.

I visited my brother and sister-in-law in Ft. Myers on Wednesday-Friday of last week. My sister-in-law had Hershey's kisses and choc. covered raisins sitting out on her table. I went off my diet ladies for the first time. I was so out of control, I ate candy all Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday night I ate lightly for dinner. Thursday, I got up and started eating candy again until it was gone. I told my sister-in-law that I would beat her up if she put out any more candy. That night we ate at this incredible one-room Italian restaurant which was amazing. The menu is written on a board. I stayed away from the pasta and ate chicken parmesan and sauted spinach. Then we went out for ice cream, and I ate a soft-serve chocolate/lime cone which was marvelous. That is it. I am now back on my diet. My husband gained 3 pounds and I stayed the same again this week. (I think I have a guardian angel. I should have gained five pounds at least).
Needless to say, I am now back on my stringent diet (fighting to stay away from the sugar). It usually takes me 3 days once I eat sugar to get rid of the craving. What a mess. I am beating myself up over this food orgy I went on. That's the reason for the full confession. I got it out of my brain and body so I am back at the beginning. I am forgetting everything I did last week.

I keep forgetting to check in mostly because I have nothing to show :-((( Still managed to keep all unwanted kilos and there's a lot of work and still cold :-( But I found a new goal for myself, sorry for taking liberty/ I decided that my new deadline is June 30th, the time of Moscow concert! So I' keep trying!!!

Well, this week I have not lost any weight (there is only a slight change when I exhale !! haha) so I am calling it a WEIGHT LOSS PLATEAU and will look forward to some downward movement this coming week. I started back to work today and it was very much a shock to my system, hopefully I get my mojo back and will be able to settle back into a routine.
To keep myself motivated I have declared Tuesday 6th March:

Q3: blueberry. there should be a two labels on tabs at the bottom of the REPLY box -- one labeled Preview and one labeled BBCode. Can you see these or are they gone?

blueberry: Q3, I can still see the labels, but when I click on the Preview label, nothing happens. And every time I start a new post, it automatically takes me to BB Code. Otherwise it doesn't matter, but posting pictures would be easier in Preview (copy+paste).
