Video-Tutkas are taped Skype-sessions between Sauli Koskinen and Katri Utula. Some of them are recorded at a cafe in Helsinki when Sauli is back in Finland visiting. They will discuss mostly entertainment business related things going on both in Finland and in the USA, and sometimes maybe elsewhere, as well...
This thread contains Tutkas from the beginning of January 2012. The thread will contain links to the videos and at least translations of the discussion. Video-Tutkas from 2011 can be found in their own thread www.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=sauli&action=display&thread=466.
Please keep in mind that the videos were made for Finnish viewers, and from a Finnish point of view, to give the Finnish viewers a peek what it is like in the big world. Katri and Sauli sometimes compare the American and the Finnish ways, too. Also the way they express themselves is partly very direct (very Finnish style that ) and partly twisted around with humour and jokes, so you have to read a lot between the lines. They are sarcastic and use irony, they joke a lot and have fun.
Also, please note that we (Miachihu and Zinnia) are neither professional translators nor native English-speakers. Therefore it is very much possible and even likely that there will be mistakes and clumsy sentences in the translations. However, the language that Sauli and Katri use is not always exactly perfect and coherent, either, so the source of confusion might be there as well.

K: Okay, I started the recording already. (giggles) S: No, don’t! You can’t do it! K: (giggles) I already did. S: No, no! I put the glasses on. I’m having 1st of May here now. K: Oh god… hey, really, we had to start now because I’m interviewing Pekka Haavisto (one of the candidates in the Presidential election in Finland now in January/February) in ten minutes and I was just saying to Sauli that we are in such a hurry! S: Do you like my glasses? K: Oh, they are so great! Why is it so dark in there? S: Ahh… I do have candles here… (laughs) K: I mean… you look like you’re in outer space or somewhere, once again. S: (holds a candle in his hands) K: Oh heavens! And why are you wearing those glasses… S: I’m trying to cheer up people with these 1st of May glasses here… K: Sauli called me just a minute ago and said, “We can’t tape Tutka because I have glasses… S: These are like these New Year’s glasses except they don’t… K: Yeah, because you said… what do you have in that eye of yours? S: … have that 2012 up here. K: Can you hear me at all because we are totally speaking on each other? S: Yes, I hear you.. K: What do you have in your eye? Some iris… thing?… What was that? (laughs) S: What iris thing? I don’t have any… K: (laughs) Well, you were saying that your eye is swelling up and it has some kind of an infection… and Sauli said, “We can’t start taping Tutka because I have to put these glasses on…” S: (laughs) Help! I’ve got no problems here… K: Show me! (leans closer to the screen) Show me, I can’t see anything because it’s so fuzzy… S: Well, look, I have a stye up here or something… K: Oh, it was a stye. What…Iris is probably some… S: Yeah. K: … part of the eye… (laughs) S: And then I even started picking on it today, I was thinking that surely you had to… I even read from a medical book that you should bathe it with hot water bath and then press it gently so that the sebum or something comes out or something like that. So then I kept playing with it for about a half an hour and only then I realized that dammit, we’re taping Tutka today with Katri and I have one completely red eye noe…. I was even keeping the hot compress over here (shows) so the whole other side of my face was totally red so now we’re having here these great happy 1st of May glasses… K : Oh my God… Hey, by the way, I’ve worn those glasses at some time. They are great! I had them that time when we were drinking bubbly… at the bubbly party or somewhere… Hey, I, too, have some kind of a spot here (points) since in there bloody Egypt (Katri was just on holiday in Egypt) all kinds of insects were biting me… Then some people there had this kind of big bumps (shows)… Like, I mean, absolutely shocking. Some people are so allergic. I was totally shocked. I mean, oh my God! S: Let me put some light on. K: A little more light, yes, since we can’t even see you… S: Better? K: Okay, that’s good… Yes… so, we’re in a bit of a hurry since that president… presidential candidate is coming soon here. By the way, Haavisto is one of my superfavorites. Do you have a favorite? S: Ummm… naaww… not really… K: Right… S: I really haven’t been paying too much attention to that… K: (chuckles) Sauli! S: I’m living here now, you know! K: Hey, you have to watch all my Election-Tutkas and then we’ll make an evaluation about who’s the best of them in your opinion. S: Yes, yes, I will start following those then and after that I’ll know much more about these… K : Good, good. Look, I still have this in my arm… (shows her red wristband) S: … political things. K: Look, what I still have on my wrist! S: What, have you been to Särkänniemi (an amusement park in Tampere, Finland), in the Delfinarium? K: No, there in the hotel, it was an all-inclusive… I still have this… I was going to cut it away in the morning… S: Katri! When did you come home from there?!? A week ago? K: Two days ago! I was going to cut it in the morning… S: Hey, but I heard you had a little something… you sent me a message saying that you had a really nice landing… K: Oh my God! I mean, really… We were coming down like this (shows with hands), like the wing first almost in the ground, at Helsinki-Vantaa, we were about to land, already right there on the runway, and then suddenly (shows)… boom… we took up! I was totally like, “what the hell?” … S: Oh dear! K: … and then, next the captain announces that we have so little gasoline left that we have to fly to Tampere because we couldn’t try landing again at Helsinki in case we couldn’t land there in, because there was an absolutely horrible whirlwind there, something, that was hitting us really hard right there… S: But what… how… if you were already at Helsinki and running out of gas, how could you continue to Tampere? K: I didn’t understand that completely either, but apparently it was that the takeoff requires so much gas that if we’d had to do another pull-up, if the new landing effort didn’t work out, they couldn’t have done it, they’d had to get us down. And I heard there was such a warning light on that they hadn’t seen in 20 years, the flight attendant said. She hadn’t ever heard of such a warning light… S: Oh wow… K : I was just like, “Oh my God!”… Then we flew to Tampere, I mean Pirkkala (airport in Tampere) and landed there… Of course there was nobody at work anymore [at that time] and they had to call the border control personnel there from somewhere… S: Right … K: … and order busses from somewhere so we could get back to Helsinki, because we weren’t going to fly back anymore, supposedly because the 15 hours working hours limit of the personnel was already full. But the real reason was the weather, it was just horrible. And then when we were landing there, it was just the same thing, dammit, coming down with other wing almost in the ground at first… I was really, like, seriously…I’m surprised… S: Wow! K: … that people weren’t any more upset in the airplane. In my opinion it was… I’ve seen so many landings and they’re going usually like this… (shows with hands) But that was just absolutely terrible! S: Yeah, sure. K: Oh my God… S: Awful! Well, good that you’re alive… K: Well yes, it’s a little bit better that way… S: … so we can make these Tutkas. K: Exactly! Just because of the Tutkas, it’s good that I’m still alive! (laughs) S: Well, you had a nice New Year there then… K: Oh yeah, it was really nice! S: … in the warmth of Egypt… K: Except that I really have to say that.. it’s a bit sort of annoying that… the locals are really super nice… But it’s like, when you’re a blond woman and go there, there’s a bit of a… it has a bit of a… thing… And then there were quite a lot of tourists from our eastern neighbor [Russia] there, and I can say that on New Year’s Day at the breakfast buffet there wasn’t very much left when you went there and tried to get something to eat. So it was a little… let’s say that it got on my nerves a bit every once in a while, but otherwise it was a really relaxing and nice vacation… Then we went on a bus tour to Cairo to see the pyramids, that’s an experience I can recommend to everybody, it’s so incredible! So if you go to Egypt, you absolutely have to take that bus tour! I’m even going to write a story about it in the paper, it was so great! Even though we missed one night’s sleep! S: Oh, wow! So that’s the place to go! K: I mean really, everything… S: I misses some sleep also. K: Well, what did you do? Tell me now. S: Well, I mean… I totally lost my patience there in Finland because of that rain, because I was so looking forward to seeing snow and… K: Right… S: …there was supposed to be… And no, no, I can say it was so dark and gloom… I didn’t see sun for a whole week. So I thought it was just better to fly back here. K: Yeah, somehow I noticed that you lost your patience here… S: And here we’ve been having about 28 C… Sorry? K: Somehow I noticed that you lost your patience here! (laughs) S: Yeah. I just couldn’t… K: Only because of that rain… S: …even get my sleeping rhythm back. Yeah, no. K: But you left a lot… really suddenly, I thought that you would be leaving only on the 27th and then suddenly you were already there, when I was leaving to Egypt, So you totally lost your patience… S: Well, yeah, somehow it… I had missed so much sleep and everything, so it was nicer to just fly back here and to calm down and spend the New Year here. K: That’s true. But hey, wait a minute. Your Christmas here went okay, right? S: Yeah, yeah. K: What did you do? S: Well, what do you do at Christmas? Eat and well… wait for Santa’s visit… (laughs) K: Great! S: Yeah. K: Absolutely the best. Didn’t you… S: All that usual stuff. K: Didn’t you have your godchildren there too visiting, so you could play with them? S: Yeah yeah, my nephews were there and it was so… It was a really nice Christmas. And it was really wonderful to see my family and friends and all these loved ones, but I mean, I was so annoyed because there was no snow. Since it was such a black Christmas. K: Yeah, that’s true. Right now here there’s… S: So it left me a sort of annoying impression of the weather in Finland and all the darkness and rain. K: That’s absolutely true. Because here it’s, now that I’m looking around, it really wasn’t that nice to fly back here. Aww, so black and dark. Luckily we had a little bit of snow. But surely there will be some snow coming from somewhere. S: Exactly. K: Once again I hear my voice echoing in my ears, wonderful… I enjoy so much hearing my own voice. Hey, what did you do on New… S: We really started this so… K: Yeah, what did you do… S: … this is a sort of an ex tempore Tutka. K: This is a little bit ex tempore. Hey, what did you do on New Year’s Eve? S: Aah well, I’ve done, I’ve written a whole blog about it on the Ilta-Sanomat site. K: Well, I saw that but I’m just asking here now! S: Right! (laughter) S: Well, we had a really peaceful New Year’s celebration. K: I hear you’re having a dropless month now. S: How so? K: You told me that yesterday! (laughs) S: Hoh (laughs) Let’s say that don’t many Finns… let’s say that I’m trying hard.. K: I mean, hey, Sauli – now, do you know one thing? I remember, let’s dig out last year’s Tutka at this point. We were standing, sitting… standing here, waiting eagerly for our vacation and that we’ll leave to make the Tutka Roadshow, and you said, “I don’t understand these people who are having a dropless January.” (laughs) S: (laughs) But Katri, you were so going along with that, and today when I said to you, ”Maybe I should try it”, you were so totally in for it! (laughter) K: See how people change… S: But you were talking about some parties since within three weekends you are having at least three dinner parties and all, so you having dropless month isn’t going to work at all. K: Oh, that’s terrible. Yesterday I so totally agreed with you. ”Sauli, that’s a really good idea!” And now here I am putting you down, “Sauli, how can you when just last year you…” S: Yeah… K: But this is just how people can change their opinions. S: Well… K: No, but it is just good at this point to really take it a little bit easier from now on. But really… S: Let’s say that after all that feasting during Christmas… K: That’s right. S: In December I ate so much food, like Christmas goodies, ham and… I kept on putting so much stuff in my mouth when I was in Finland since I hadn’t eaten Finnish food for such a long time, that I probably stuffed five kilos worth of food into myself! K: Exactly the same thing.. S: And anyway, I was thinking about having this January more in the healthy line. So once again these supershots, green grass and… K: Yuck, ugh… (expression!) Oh, awful! But there [in Egypt] they also had some good stuff, like tea, we went to visit a Bedouin camp, they had all kinds of good teas there so I thought I should start drinking all that stuff now. S: Yeah. K: But really, if one could just exercise a little bit more and keep better ways of living for a couple of months from here on, and then the summer is coming again, then… S: Just that you don’t make it a really big deal for yourself but just try a little bit more, you know. K: Exactly. S: This way, in the beginning of the year you get the year started better too when you at least try to start it with healthier ways of living. K: Right. But hey, great and wonderful that everything’s been going well there and I hear you’re having some super heat wave there, 28 C or what did you say yesterday. S: 28 – this is amazing. K: That’s awful. S: Wonderful. They have predicted warm weather for tomorrow also, and for the rest of the week. Don’t know about next week, but hopefully this will continue. K: That’s great. But Sauli, I really have Pekka Haavisto coming in there right now, so sorry that you’ll be left behind now. S: Oh my God… Is that your cameraman there behind? K: Hey, that’s Tuomas! It’s Tuomas. S: Yes, Tuomas, Tuomas, our Tuomas. He’s wearing a cap. K: Yes, he is, I think he doesn’t want to be recognized here. He’s always running away from the camera. S: Yeah K: Hey, next week we’ll talk about the Voice, we’ll talk about the Idols, we’ll start following them actively. We’ll talk about everything that’s going on in the world, and we’ll follow that. This was sort of a good mood happy new year wish since we couldn’t make that together here in Finland after all even though we promised. So next week we’ll continue properly and talk about the behavior of Lauri Tähkä, Paula Koivuniemi, Elastinen and Michael Monroe (coaches) in the Voice, and we’ll talk about the excessive visibility of Nina Herala and Heikki Paasonen (hosts) in the Idols, of which people are complaining about right now. About all of this… S: Whoah... Well, But I was just going to say that sure, people are always complaining when a new, another new program starts but seriously, no-one can really know anything about them if they have aired only one episode by now. K: That’s true, that’s true. Well, but next week we’ll be a lot wiser since we have watched two episodes, I have to watch them too now. S: Yes. K : Hey, great. S: Where are my glasses? I lost them… (puts glasses on) K: (laughs) Here we go… S: I was going to put these on… K: (giggles) Hiii! S: Poker Face… how do they do it… (makes gestures) K: Once again Sauli… omg… Sauli started like that, put those glasses right away on and… S: (chuckles, takes glasses off) K: Oh wow, look - can you see, this whole table is shaking… S: Yeah, I can see. I have this kind of disco here, too (shakes his screen) K: Shall we tape this whole thing like that... S: Yeah, let’s do that. Hey, think about it, right now it’s… it is exactly 1 am at night and I’m here so totally full of energy… K: I can see from your eyes that you’re a little bit tired though… S: Look now, I’m living this health week of mine! Or health month, so I’m so full of energy I can share it to the others as well… and… oh well. K: Nooo… S: Yeah. K: Really, you… I mean, so it has clearly helped that you’re living this health week, it’s easier - no, sorry, health month - it’s easier to stay up late, or what? S: Well, I don’t know, somehow I just feel amazingly energetic… K: Mmmhmmm… S: ... like all the time, like having enough energy to just keep on going with full speed… K: Well, you know, last weekend I had these three dinner parties in a row… I even sent Sauli a message that “Oh no dear God”… So now I’m too starting this health… healthy life, seriously… S: (laughs) K: I already went to yoga right away yesterday and ouch, now every place is hurting… S: Weekend… You’ve been living a healthy life for a long time now already if you had three parties last weekend… K: (giggles) Well… a day! (shows one finger) S: One day… K: But here it starts… S: Hey, do you already have snow there in Finland? K: Yes. Let me show you (turns the camera) – wait, I’ll turn this camera… Can you see? S: Oh wow… I still think that’s gray though… K: Oh, how is this turning…? (turns the camera) No, it isn’t! Look now, directly below there ! Look, snow! S: Yes, there is… it’s so pretty. K: Except I’m all in shock because I’m interviewing Sauli Niinistö (one of the candidates in the Presidential election in Finland) today right there in the back (points to her background) and I really don’t know… because he’s probably the scariest interviewee of them. S: Why? Tell… Can you say hi for me to my namesake? K: Yes, I can (laughs)… I’ll try to remember. I don’t know what it is with that Sauli now that I’m not at all so convinced about, because I used to like him earlier … S: But I think, since somehow I don’t… K: … but he’s become scary. S: Yeah. But would it be... if we had… if Sauli became the President, then it would (ponders)… Yeah, that would be good. K: No, no, I’m not at all sure about that… S: Just from the name’s point of view. K: Hmph! But of course… S: It’s such a pretty and tuneful name. K: (laughs) Somehow it is… in a way it sounds… when you’re rolling it in your mouth it does feel quite… pretty nice… yeah. S: It would be nice. K: But yes, I liked that Pekka Haavisto, and even Paavo Väyrynen, I had him as a guest yesterday and I was drinking coffee from their heart mugs and so, with Paavo. S: Laced coffee…? K: He did say in the end, “Haha, the viewers don’t know what we have in these, do they?” (laughs) S: Oh dear… But then he’s in the same line with me because that’s what we always do in Tutka… We poured a little sip from that family-sized Kossu (Koskenkorva Vodka) bottle into the coffee mugs K: (laughs) So much for our healthy life! S: A horrible sized jug under the table there… (Note: …And they are kidding :D) (laughter) K: Oh dear… Hey, but now I have to ask you about this healthy life stuff since we were talking about it… S: Mmhmm… K: What a… Tell me a good recipe, since I was just thinking about making some kind of smoothies. I do have to buy one of those blenders first, though. S: Well, you can’t make one before you get the blender… K: (laughs) I know that! But tell me what I should use… bananas…? S: Well, you can put there anything, but, like… K: What’s best? S: Well, I usually put… I have this health food powder called Amazing Meal which I put in the smoothie, it’s a powder that has all kinds of stuff in it. But if you want… since I know that you don’t like that… K: (makes faces while Sauli is talking about Amazing meal, then laughs) S: … so you could put just natural yoghurt, banana… K: (nods at the ingredients) S: … and then from the freezer… you don’t have to put, like, ice cubes in to the smoothie - you can put some frozen berries instead to it. So use strawberries or some other berries. K: Strawberries are good. Strawberry-banana shake is always good. Yeah… S: But then you have to watch out that you get all the vitamins from the food too. But you can buy from a health food store something, something like those powders, like a protein powder that would have then… K: Hmm… S: … those extra vitamins in it. I don’t know… K: Ah… okay. But I really don’t know if I can trust you because you like even those supershots… S: Well, you don’t like… you don’t like my mixtures… K: No, definitely not… (laughter) K: Hey, okay, well, should we talk… S: Hey, you should take Berocca, take Berocca every day… K: Oh, that is good! Yes, that I could take! S: Right. K: Hey, now we, a little must. I have to call you again because this is breaking up again, or I mean, I’m hearing my voice echoing again. And yeah, no, I was saying… S: (says something – sound breaks) … a three dinner, or a three days with dinner there. K: Yeah, I lost my patience. I totally lost my patience. No, well I mean that actually I was hearing myself echoing all the time so I said that this is just awful and on the other hand nothing new, but… just awful. Yeah, hey – so, shall we talk about the American Idol since it’s starting right now there.. S: It’s starting now… If I’m not wrong, it starts… as I recall, it starts on the 18th this month. K: Yes, right. S: And it’s coming to Finland with a weeks delay, I think… hasn’t it always come with a one week’s delay, or how was it. K: Earlier it used to come maybe two weeks later, now it’s coming only just… was it eight days later. It starts on the 26th which is absolutely great because now we can really start following it. Because I was all pumped up about that X-Factor which Melanie Amaro won, she was absolutely brilliant. S: Mmhmm. K: … I mean I liked her very much. So, so, well, if there are similar talents there now, as well, then… and like last year when we were there at the American Idol. S: Last year, yes, yeah. Now this is just great. And I’ll try to go there and see it this year, too. K: Yeah S: You can go there to the Finnish stuuudios (stretches the word on purpose) and I’ll go to the American stuuudios and then we’ll compare them. But yeah, the same judges are continuing here in the States. K: Right. S: So there are… K: They were good. S: Jennifer Lopez and then, what.. now I have a total blackout… K: Randy… Randy Jackson and then that… Steven Taylor and who… were there just three? Help… S: Yes, yes, three. There weren’t more. K: Yes, that’s it. Yes. They continue. Hey, and then, now we have to talk about this Finnish Idol too. It’s a little bit hard to talk about the actual contestants yet… S: Hey, I have to say a little thing here now! K: Yes? S: Now I want a lot of tips from you viewers because… K: Oh yes. S: ... today I tried three times to download some new something to my machine… some Silver… was it Silverlight or something, some program system with which all these TV-programs are supposed to run. And I loaded this new system three times and I still can’t view the TV-programs.. That MTV3 page is still saying that you have to download the new program because the old one cannot run these TV-programs. So… I don’t understand a thing about technique, so if you have good advice – some tips, please post them there in the Tutka comments. K: Really, I was saying to Sauli that now you’re going to say, going to ask our viewers for help because I’m sure someone of you knows. Because this is totally crazy, because Sauli has been downloading and downloading and then he’s losing his patience, and I… of course we hope that Sauli can watch these Finnish Idols because otherwise this isn’t going to work at all. S: Yes, and I’m really losing my patience. I can’t stand playing with these computers, when… if it doesn’t work right away, I just can’t take it. K: Mmm. S: And then, if you post a good tip there, please write it like very clearly so that even I can understand it. K: (laughs) S: No complicated words, that Silverlight or whatever it is, even that is such a complicated word… so nothing like that. So just keep it very simple… K: Help. S: … like which button to push. K: Yes, how can it be possible that you’ve downloaded that newest program and still it says that you don’t have the newest program, that you have to download it, when you try to watch them. S: Yeah. K: Because I know that now you’re supposed to be able to watch them everywhere abroad because MTV sent a specific newsletter about that already earlier. S: Well, there you go. K: And that Voice of Finland, same thing, so now… have you tried… S: That’s it. So I’m not given this pleasure to watch…So it still doesn’t work here. K: Well, but now we have to sort this thing out because we have to get it working. Well, but now about the Finnish Idols… 8:35 – 17:51 talk about Finnish Idols and other Finnish reality-TV shows in general. K: But hey, then I was going to say about that one thing at your end – since you even were there at the Katy Perry’s birthday party. Now she and her Russell have split up then . S: (chuckles) Yes, I think she did that. K: Well what, how did that happen to them? S: Well, I haven’t really been calling Katy that much so I really don’t know what happened, why things went south between them. But well, yeah… K: Absolutely shocking. S: … they did seem very happy still at the birthday party, so I don’t know. K: Yeah. S: Right. K: Because I… But I think that some of it was that they were gushing about it so much everywhere in public and posing all around. It was always like that, like all the time. S: Exactly. K: … like, “We are so in love” and giving 700 million interviews about how happy they are, so… I don’t trust those stories if you have to gush so much about it. S: Yeah, it’s a little bit like gushing too much about it then…. K: Yes. S: Then karma is getting back to you. K: Right, exactly. So I don’t… really that kind of gushing about it is not for me… S: Now we just have to be ourselves like… remember Katri, we just have to … K: Yes. S: … we’ll just talk about relationships like… K: “I don’t know” (laughs) S: “I don’t really know how things are going…” (laughter) S: “Don’t know. It’s been a nice weather lately.” K: (laughs) Exactly! That’s what you always have to sa,y something like that, so at least no one can ever blame you of gushing about too much! S: For sure. I really have to say now – everything is going great!! K: Then Sauli said that, “Well, I’m going… tomorrow I’m gonna go see the Ellen Show and as a guest they have this some… Colin something. So… so… so then I found out that it’s the bloody Colin Firth! S: Yes it’s him, that actor. K: Yeah well, he’s “only” my favorite actor! S: He is? Oh wow. I’ll go and tell him warm greetings from Katri then tomorrow, if I can get to the backstage area. K: Yeah, right. You think that’s any consolation for me then? S: Yes. K: (laughs) S: Well, they’ll have - they’ll be having my siippa there singing too, but, well yeah…[siippa = hubby, partner, better half, spouse – remember we decided to teach you that handy Finnish word to cover for all these English ones -Z&M-] K: They do?!?! (lol, Katri’s expression! ) S: Yeah, so he’s the one I’m going there to see, sort of. But so, well… it’s really nice, I haven’t been to the Ellen Show before and so… well.. K: No!!! S: …I don’t know, a little… Sorry? K: Oh… really… that is so cool! Can you really get to talk with Colin Firth? S: I don’t know… Today I was at the Jay… Jay Leno Show… K: Yeah? S: … and I did get to visit the actual backstage area there. I didn’t see Jay Leno there, though, so he wasn’t… I don’t know in which room or in which dressing room he would have been in… I didn’t go through them all. K: (laughs) S: But well yeah… as a guest they had this actor… I’m really terrible, I’m sorry but I’m so bad in remembering people’s names… umm…. K: Always! S: ..... some Sam… Sam something… I don’t know… he was that main guy in Avatar, that man, the leading male role… K: So, so that’s Sam… some… S: (hides inside his hood) K: ...Worthington, or something like that (laughs) S: Exactly, the same guy! Okay. He was there today as a guest. He seemed to be a bit uncomfortable. He had put on this sort of a… BTW I think they show it in Finland or you can watch that Tuesday episode on the internetd… K: Yeah. S: ... So he had put on this really tight sort of like a Hawaiian shirt, a red shirt and he was like tugging it down all the time and then he was really self-conscious about it all the time and he had to open… it was so tight that he couldn’t sit with it, so he had to open the bottom button in it… K: No! S: ... and he might have grown a little belly for himself and all, and then he was just sort of all embarrassed there and then his whole show concentrated a bit in to tugging that shirt. But on the other hand it was really entertaining for the audience. K: Hey, did Jay Leno say something about it? In that program? S: Yeah, they were joking and chit-chatting about all kind or things and he asked him where he even found a shirt that ugly and all… K: (laughs) OMG! Because, do you remember when we went to see that Conan O’Brien… S: I do! K: ... when they had Hayden Patteniere-or-whatever there (note: it’s Panettiere). And she had that skirt that was too short, so she was all the time (Katri skirms and tugs her imaginative skirt down), all the time like… S: Yeah, yeah K: ... thinking about how she was sitting and… S: It was the same thing now. K: Oh my God! S: Right. K: Think about it, really. How many people have all the wrong clothes when they go to shows like that, and then they put on something really fine that maybe looks good when they’re standing. Then they have to sit down and then nothing is like… omg… help… S: Exactly. K: Hey, really essential things once again, I mean from the worldwide perspective (laughs) S: Yeah really, exactly! (laughs) K: (laughs)… ”How do you look when you’re sitting …” (cracks down) S: What? K: Sauli... I said it’s really significant how one looks while sitting. But Sauli, now you have to show us what you’re wearing while you’re sitting there. S: (straightens up) I have this jumpsuit. K: Show us! Because it was so great when you showed it to me! S: (stands up on the chair to show his jumpsuit) K: That is so great! And I was immediately so superjealous, like I want one of those too! S: This is my sleepsuit, sort of. K: No bloody hell… S: I mean really, this is so comfortable that once you get inside it you don’t ever wanna come out. K: Hey… (laughs) well, in that case I don’t know if I want one, because it would be pretty weird at work… S: Really, I got this as a so called “fan gift”, so we can ask for one for you too, then… so by all means, please send also one of these to Katri, but a pink one! (laughter) K: Yes… a pink one for me! Absolutely! S: We’re going to be even funnier… just kidding… K: Hey, that is really so, I’m really… hey I want one of those too. I don’t have one like that. I heard that that’s some kind of a hit. Do all the people have those now there in the States? S: I haven’t seen anyone having one of these. This jumpsuit has been introduced in Finland too. K: Yeah, we have those here too. It’s a Norwegian thing or something. S: Yes, right. I think they first introduced these already in like… I think it was 2007 or 2008. But just now it has started to sort of… K: Yeah, oh wow. S:… move forward. K: It’s so lovely… S: But this has been so lovely. But I’m not going to advertise much more now… K: Yeah, no… S: …”that outfit is just awful and the color is terrible and now you hear me Onepiece, how about sending me a couple more of these...” K: You really look like a smurf. S: Well, I am.. And yeah, one thing - people thought, since I wrote in my blog that I put some silver shampoo on and I had that picture there… (takes his beanie off). I don’t have blue hair, my hair is still blonde. K: Okay. S: Because of that one pic people were thinking that now I have blue hair but I really don’t have blue hair. And then another thing… K: (laughs) S: (shows his left arm) I have a tattoo on my left arm. Now, there’s been some speculations going on, since Sauli has had a ring on his left ring finger, but it’s actually on the right ring finger (shows his hands). And it’s my sister’s old school ring. From middle or high school or something like that. So… K: (laughs) S: So when you see pictures… (shows his left hand) you see that the tattoo is always on the left arm, and there is no tattoo on the right arm and the ring is on that hand. K: Okay, hey show me that new tattoo, you’ve got a new tattoo on that one where you have the ring. S: (shows his right hand to his camera) How am I going to show this now… K: It’s great! What’s that… what does it mean? S: It’s OOFTA, and it’s for insiders only thingy... K: Oh, I see… S: ... and I’m not going to speculate any more about it. When we stop taping Tutka I can tell you a little something about it. K: I didn’t even remember to ask after I saw that you had that one. Niina Herala says Hi behind Katri while walking by her. --*-- 11.43 S: But as you can see, I’ve been following the Idols so well here, which means that I still haven’t gotten [that tech thing solved] it to play – just pure laziness on my side here, not gotten it to work. But I will sort it out as soon as possible. But Katri and I were thinking that in the future we would do so that I will follow quite a bit the American Idol here since it’s starting now, and Katri will follow the Finnish Idol and then we’ll compare our notes of them and… and… K: Mmmm, true. S: (something)… a little less. K: But when the live shows start, both with Voice and Idol, it would be good if you could see them… S: Yes, yes, right. K: At that point at the latest we’ll get you that TV-Kaista (a Finnish web-TV service) because with that you can see all the Finnish TV-programs, as far as I understand. S: Yes I can. People have been posting about how I could see… K: Mmm S: … so now if I just could kick myself to do it, I’d soon be sorting it out. S: …since everybody’s seen all that hassle in the beginning anyway, because Idols is not a new format, it will be better when we have about 10 people left, then we can start analyzing them more. We just had the Golden Globe Gala here and I wrote about it in my blog. I’m sorry that the text ended with that Aromapot, I really don’t know what happened there once again since it just sort of jumped a little from one topic to another so I can… K: (laughs) Oh yeah, we are never jumping from one topic to another here… S: I so could have started to analyze all those outfits and blablabla but I can say that there were pretty, like really cool dresses and I thought that gala was really wonderful in any case, I mean it was sort of intimate, or not intimate - I mean it was in a smaller hall and everybody was sitting around round tables and it was very nice to follow. K: Mmhmm. In my opinion, for example Charlize Theron had a lovely dress and then there was a lot of sort of natural white or really many had sort of really light lovely colors S: Yes. K: Really lovely dresses. S: In my opinion… Angelina Jolie – I really don’t know, she was really like a skeleton. K: Yeah, she is so tiny… she is so small! S: Yeah hey, and I was watching today the Hollywood News on TV and they had a story saying that Jennifer has gotten back together with this… umm… what’s the… K: Who? Who… Jennifer Lopez? S: Jennifer Lopez has gotten back together with that… K: Marc Anthony? S: Yes. K: You’re not serious. S: Well, that’s what they’re speculating about now. K: Well, but she… like… still last week she was walking hand in hand with that young guy, with that some 30 years younger –type guy. S: I really don’t know, but that’s what they were talking about today. K: Wow, well. They do have those twins so maybe it would be just good if they got back together. S: Yeah, right. K: But, well - I will probably be watching the election returns on Sunday, so we’ll probably make a couple of videos then too. You see, I’m also at the moment a political reporter in part, do you notice… S: Well, I was just thinking that your talk is turning so much into politics that I’ll have difficulties in recognizing you soon… K: (laughs) Right, well have no fear, since this election is over I don’t have to… S: Soon you’ll be wearing a two-piece costume there and start doing… K: I am already, all the time! S: …so even I got interested in it, and I’ve been following it and all, but like I said I already wrote a funny blog about it so you can go and read from there… K: Oh, I see. K: Yeah, right… (laughs) S: I didn’t really, but I did have to include a little joke in there since because I was just thinking that it’s really like that as either our president will be a man who has a foreign boyfriend, or his name will be Sauli. So it’s pretty much like I was the candidate there! K: (laughs, claps her hands) Wow yeah, you could really… S: I sort of identified, I identified myself with that topic, but then… K: Really… but now… S: … I don’t really want to take too much a stand on this, so well.. And anyway, I don’t want to talk about who I’m going to vote for now, because in my opinion… in my opinion it’s good to just keep that to yourself. K: Do you know that I was just… I was just really thinking about this, because this is really so unbelievable. Even during the first round I couldn’t tell who I’m going to vote for. Well, maybe it’s just like that when Lore was saying while we were watching Pekka Haavisto’s election returns, that even if he is now a radio reporter and all, he is still - even defying the reporter’s impartiality - telling everyone, really trying to get everyone to vote for Pekka. And I was just laughing there, but then I was thinking that I really just can’t, being a reporter - since I’m writing stories about all the candidates. S: Yeah. K: But it’s also because I just don’t want to tell because I already noticed from Facebook and Twitter, and from anywhere – people are always like… if I say something even slightly hinting to some direction, like “Paavo is wonderful” or “Pekka is wonderful” or “Sauli is wonderful”, then they are immediately like, “No way! You can’t be! How can you think like that?” Then I’m just all like… S: Yes, exactly. K: … like, “Hey guys, seriously, calm down!” That everyone can have their own opinions, there is no right or wrong one because it’s everyone’s OWN opinion… S: Exactly. K: … so that’s why I’ve decided the same thing as you, that I’m not going to say who I’m going to vote for, and because I noticed that today when there is Facebook and all, people seem much more eager to tell there about who they are voting for. S: Mmmm, true. K: People are sort of starting to campaign there. And everyone’s… S: Right, right. K: …adding even those bing tags about who they are voting for. S: Yeah. K: So this has turned a little bit into… since earlier everyone was like, “Well, I don’t think I’m going to tell you” or then they talked about it face to face at the most – now this is like sort of group mania, or that all the people… S: Everybody’s posting in, say like in Facebook and all, there are so many of these… well, let’s say like your Facebook channel… K: Yeah, yeah. S: … is a pretty good one wherever you might… I think every person nowadays goes at least once a day to the Internet… K: Right, yes. S: … to update something on Twitter, Facebook, or … K: Yes, yes. S: …where ever. It has become this sort of mass phenomenon. But well yeah, I do think however, as I already wrote, that whether our next president is Haavisto or Niinistö, we are going to get a good president. K: Yes, I agree. S: I’m proud of both of these…. K: Yes! S: … candidates, yes! K: And then I was a little… (continues with talk about other candidates and after that about another Finnish program “Korkojen kera”) **-** 9:34 S: I have to say that your nails look pretty. K: Oh, thank you! S: Yeah. K: Thanks, I actually put nail polish on. I normally never have nail polish, but now as I was there at both of those Election returns watching events, Niinistö’s and Haavisto’s… S: Right. K: … I had to try and pretend and represent a bit. S: (shows his right hand) I put this many rings on now so that no one has more to… you know, since that engagement ring thing caused such a fuss, I’m nowadays keeping rings on every finger. K: (cracks up) S: I can put this one here on my left ring finger (puts on a big black ring). It’s a real genuine diamond! A black diamond. (laughs) K: (laughs) Oh dear… oh my god… hey… but yes, well… About Emma Gala… Yes, so I have to say that well now, well there are… now that they had Marja Hintikka and Arman Aliz…(NOTE: Alizad) how do you pronounce it… help, these foreign names are horrible to me… Arman… S: Well that Arman, yes I know that face. K: Yeah, well, now that… Now he’s been saying about them… since they got an awful lot of negative feedback after the Gala, and especially Arman. They were just cracking up some strange jokes and such there at the Gala, and that didn’t work at all. Like sort of black humor, but it just didn’t work. S: Yeah, right. K: Then again in Venla Gala a week earlier, I think the performance of the hosts, Heikki and Mikko, was really okay. But then, this was… I didn’t see it myself so I really can’t say much about it, I’ve just been reading those comments. And I was just thinking after all that feedback, that is it just really so hard to make black humor for Finns, since yesterday Arman was trying to sort of cover it up by saying that it went really well and everybody loved it and everybody liked them and I was just like, yeah, right… who is going to say straight to your face that it was all crap… S: Yes, exactly. K: But I mean, like, maybe it’s easier even for yourself to just talk about it like that, that it went really well, afterwards. But then he was saying that we do have to make the same kind of black humor here in Finland as they make in the States. Well, well I don’t really know. So what do you think, do you think it would work here? S: I don’t… Maybe it doesn’t work and hit on the nail and so, but I don’t know about people making really black humor here in Finland, either (NOTE: Sauli has wrong country here :D )… I mean, well of course they make it, but let’s say that if you translate something word for word… if you borrow from an American a line that he has used in some Gala here… K: Mmmm S: … it’s like that if you just translate it into Finnish, it sort of loses the whole idea behind the story, you know. K: Yeah, that’s true. That’s absolutely true. S: Yes. Because here you can say things in such a different way from how you can say them in Finland. And let’s say, like, that every time you translate something even directly from someone’s English to Finnish, it doesn’t… it means something else and not, not… I don’t know. I was just thinking that here in the States the spoken language is different from… K: It is different, yes… S: … different K: It is. “Ouch, the battery died. We’ll continue on Friday.”

K: I see you… but you’re not here… **-** (Only Sauli on screen) K: I’m testing this recording thing, I’m probably a black scre…(=screen – connection breaks) **-** (Black screen) K: (Giggles) You’re really not going to believe this. Okay, there’s no point for me to even look at the camera since it won’t show me to you. I mean, we’ve been trying… S: Oh-oh… K: Well, I can tell you that it’s now a quarter past eleven. And we started this morning half past ten to try and juggle with these technical problems we have and we just can’t get it work properly… Either you can see Sauli, or you can see me… S: Or then… K: Either the voice of one of us is missing…. This is just, this is just awful. S: And I even put on today… when Katri called me saying, “Okay, we’ll start taping the Miss Finland (beauty pageant) Tutka in ten minutes”, I even went and changed into a little bit better clothes, with a tie and a vest and everything possible… and here we have tried to start this thing for an hour and a half or an hour already… K: An hour already… This is just horrible. And I was already gushing in the beginning about Sauli’s shirt, saying “what a lovely shirt” and all, and we were… S: (burst of laughter) K: …feeling so good about this all. And then we’ve been here now for a half an hour thinking about what we should talk about in the meantime since these damn things aren’t just working at all. S: Yeah, right. K: And then you really just can’t talk properly at the same time when you’re trying to sort these things out, like “come on, start working now, come on”. You just can’t… (Katri’s small picture suddenly appears on the screen, both fall silent for a while) S: No, seriously... (laughs) K: This just can’t be true! I can’t find you anywhere here! S: I can’t take this! K: Me neither! (laughs) S: Let’s try to do it so that you’ll call to my phone’s Skype. K: Yeah, let’s do that… (breaks the connection) **-** S: Can you see my face now… you have to check afterwards what’s on those clips… K: (laughs) Yeah. Hey really, it’s now quarter to 12. And we’ve been shooting this Tutka with Sauli now for… I mean, we just taped a proper Tutka where you could see only Sauli. And we had been shooting for 15 minutes and talked everything about the Miss Finland candidates, thinking about who is a good one and who’s not. And I was already showing here all these pictures (shows pictures from the tabloid), like who would be good and who not and like that.. S: We talked about Piia Pakarinen and everything and we even went into some TV hosting things and back to Emma Gala and we talked about… We did a really good Tutka and all. But we didn’t get it done after all. K: Yeah… S: The connection broke once again. K: This is just so shocking, really. We can’t make the camera work properly, either at Sauli’s end or at this end and we already started the Tutka we just tried to make by just laughing that “you’re not going to believe, we’ve been here for an hour already…” Well, now that we’ve been here for an hour and a half, we really don’t feel like wanting to laugh that much anymore… S: Yeah, don’t want to… K: Sauli even had… S: …laugh anymore. K: Yeah, Sauli had put on really fine clothes and even had champagne flutes there and we were clinking glasses and all… S: In honor of the Miss Finland candidates. K: He had chosen his outfit to honor the Miss Finland candidates and was even saying that no, not in honor of the president candidates, but for the beauty queens, let’s have… S: Yeah. K: … a proper outfit. S: Yeah, suitable for the occasion… K: Yeah, right. But I… S: We just couldn’t make it work. K: This is just really so dull thing to say but we just can’t… This just is not working. We’ve been even laughing about that if you only had seen what all has been going on here during the past hour and half while we’ve been trying to be like, technical wunderkinds… this isn’t… (laughs) .. just isn’t gonna work. S: I mean, you could easily make like a full-length movie about all of our adventures with the tech stuff. K: Oh God! And actually, right now I guess I’m there at the lower corner of the screen, the screen is otherwise all black. S: Yeah, and I have no idea in which corner I am or if you can even hear me but yeah, I am still here…(laughs) K: (laughs) S: We can though write there in the blog that yeah, sure we did tape the Tutka but well,… K: Yeah. S: … it just wouldn’t work. K: Jeezzh… S: We’ve both been sitting here, at our own desks… K: Right. Hey, wait a sec, I’m going to try and switch myself now… **-** (Katri’s picture changes place and size on the screen) S: I don’t even believe that this is taping now but let’s just keep on talking… K: (laughs) I don’t either, it probably isn’t taping so it really doesn’t matter what we are talking here about. But really, we talked about these Miss Finland candidates (shows the tabloid). Let’s test this now anyway… (Talk about the Miss Finland beauty pageant and the candidates) **.** 6:38 - K: Let’s talk about Piia Pakarinen now, the same things we already talked about her in that failed taping.(NOTE: Piia Pakarinen is last year’s original Miss Finland who gave up her title and has now told that she is heading out to LA to become an actress.) What do you think, she’s actually saying that she is heading out to the big world now and wants to be an actress out there? And okay, I would understand her being a model since she is really beautiful and all, but first of all - to even get a work permit for the States… And you yourself know how difficult it is there to get into… I mean, for example, you have some friends there who want to be actors and they are even local, and then when you think about what Renny Harlin said about us Finns that we do have such a difficult/thick accent that because of that there’s not much chance to get acting roles. Or, I mean… S: Right. K: … well, so… Well, Samuli Edelmann has gotten into there, wow and great (shows thumbs up), but that is the result of well, how many years of hard work… S: For sure not, and I do think, or I don’t know what and why they have been gushing so much about her coming here now and start acting, but I believe that… Well, first of all - to get rid of that Finnish accent is going to take at least a couple of years… K: Yeah. S: … for sure. And then, well… K: Yeah, for sure, and I don’t know if you can ever get totally rid of it… S: … and studying here, and I don’t know if Piia has been in some acting school or such in Finland. I mean, I wonder if she has some kind of background for that… K: Right. S: I am… I am a bit skeptical because I haven’t read anything about that from anywhere so far. K: Yes. S: Let’s say that in my opinion it really sounds a bit strange, just to move into LA and start acting… K: Mmhmm. S: …because the standards are pretty high in those things here anyway, and it’s sort of… it isn’t easy at all to get a job here. And I was also thinking that okay, sure you can find some modeling jobs and such here, but I wouldn’t say that LA - if you want to start a modeling career - is exactly the right place for that… so, well… K: Right. I agree. S: But I don’t know, I don’t really know… K: Yeah… S: … I don’t know about her plans and all, but if you aren’t… I think… Well, it annoys me a bit when people talk a way too much about some things, when they have nothing concrete to show about them. K: Exactly. S: I mean, like I don’t want to talk about my work things before… K: Beforehand, right! S: .. I know I’ve got them. Or before I have something to tell… That’s why for example, I haven’t gone into any interviews, or I haven’t given any interviews, or I’m not going into any talk shows before I myself have something that I want to tell. K: Right! Exactly! S: But when you do it like that, like you tell all the magazines that “I’m going to Los Angeles and I’m going to start acting.” What if the thing doesn’t work out for her, after all… K: Right. S: … and she doesn’t become an actress. Then it will be a huge disappointment to go back home to Finland with tail between your legs and say, “well, the acting thing didn’t work out.” Then you just have to make up some strange reasons while… K: You’re so right! S: … it just would have been better to stay quiet about that right from the beginning. K: Yes, and that’s why I’m all puzzled about all the hoopla around this now. But maybe it’s just that she now has something to gush about since she doesn’t have a boyfriend anymore, he left – or however that went – and set up his own modeling agency and all. And so it must be now that she probably doesn’t have anything else right now – of course I understand… S: Yeah, yeah. K: … that she’s gushing about something and all excited about going to the States and all, but still – since I know about getting the work permit and all, it’s so difficult. S: It is, yeah. K: Of course I wish her all the best, such a beautiful girl… S: Yeah. K: … and I’m sure she’ll make it in the modeling world. S: Of course… K: And if you remember for example Vera Jordanova *) and what she told us during the Roadshow in NYC. She’s a really pretty girl too, and she said that she has been studying acting for years and it sure isn’t an easy road, not at all. So you really have to… S: Yes, it isn’t easy, definitely. K: … remember that. So you have to be humble when you go there and just sort of hope for the best. S: Yes, I think that the whole thing has grown out of hand and then happened this “Me and my boyfriend broke up”… And if I recall it right in the beginning they were saying how they were having such a stable relationship and how her boyfriend understands that she is going to the States to build up a career as an actress and all, and then comes this “Well, we broke up but I don’t want to say anything more about it now.” Like, even in that… K: Mmhmm. S: … since she already had started talking, in my opinion she should… I mean, you just can’t pull on the breaks at that stage and say that “I don’t want to comment on it more than that.” K: Yeah, it is so… S: It sort of gives an image of you that… okay, well… I really don’t know… And then there’s been so many stories about her with headlines like “I’m going to Los Angeles to build networks” or to create contacts. Well, sure I do believe that she can find good contacts here and build net – net – (searches for the right word in Finnish – FYI it’s verkostoitumaan) K: Networks (laughs) S: Networks. Yeah, but it’s sort of pointless for the papers to create news of all those things… K: Right. S: … like “I’m going to Los Angeles to build networks.” K: No, because everyone knows how difficult it is. S: It’s just the same…In a blog, I understand if you put it there, write your own thoughts and so, and for sure it would be fun to read about those… K: Mmhmm S: … and so, and I also have been looking, read those when Piia wrote her blog and so on… But, well… I don’t know… K: Mmhm, yeah. S: I’m eagerly waiting for to see how her career as an actress starts, will it get off to a good start I mean. She really is a pretty girl… K: Yes S: … so if just… K: We’ve repeated several times, “She really is a pretty girl, but…” (laughs) S: (laughs) This is just this, when you really don’t have much more to say. K: Well yeah, exactly, that’s right. S: Yeah. K: That’s how it is. K: … so that we really don’t have to tape while only one of us is here visible on the screen and like… since this is no fun when we know that one of us is there on the screen the other one not… S: Right. K: And then, if you only knew how many times today we have already gone through all this and we really had so much fun. But it’s just that when you’re telling the same thing for the seventh time, I can tell you that you sort of start feeling a little like… S: Right, we can say that… K: “Really…??” S: …soon it would be just easier if we took turns flying, you fly here and I’ll fly there. K: (laughs) Yes, right… S: It takes about the same time to make one Tutka these days. K: Yeah, and since we like this spontaneity thing when hearing something new from each other, to have a new point of view to what the other one is saying. And if I’m here telling Sauli my opinion about these beauty queens for the tenth time, and Sauli always comments the same thing, there’s also… S: Yeah. K: … the charm that we genuinely laugh about those things. S: Exactly. K: Now it’s a bit like, “Well haha, I heard that for the tenth time hehehee” (laughs) S: Yeah. Well, “Let’s take that again” - all the same stories, and it’s really starting to feel stupid to tell the same things ten times over and over again. K: Right, even though you watchers over there don’t know about it! S: Like, we’ve been sitting here now for two hours already, doing this same thing… K: For Sauli, it’s two am in the night, really. S: …all that time all over again and like, during that time you could have flown from Helsinki-Vantaa to Germany. K: Yes. And I’m really so… I have still really big stories to write, about the Voice of Finland and all, I have such a lot of work to do. S: I’m writing my blog here, I don’t think it’s going to work.. I’m not going to make it… K: Yeah. S: It’s two am right now, I don’t quite know how well my brain is working anymore. K: Yeah, we really don’t… we’re really sorry, and of course we’d want… and we really don’t want to emphasize here all the time that “well jeez, we’ve done this ten times already” but just so that you understand why this is going the way it is, we have to say it. S: Mmmhmm. K: Next time we’ll try our utmost so that we get this working. S: So we could tape it on the first try. K: And we’re really annoyed about this, especially for you our watchers. S: Yeah. I think that only after people see all of them on Sunday, they can… S: Yeah K: … make up their minds in general. S: Yeah, well talk about that then. But hey, I just have to say that since I haven’t been very excited about this year’s beauty pageant candidates yet, let’s hope that at least one of them turns out to be interesting. That we have at least some interesting personalities there. That’s what I’m hoping for. S: Yeah. That would be nice. K: Since all of them look a bit alike and they feel the same and are pretty much like… well, I don’t know. But hey, and then the voting (NOTE: Presidential Election second and final round)! Let’s go! S: Yeah, let’s go and vote! K: Right. S: Yes. K: I was thinking about going already now, to vote in advance during the advance poll. It took us again half an hour and Katri shut down and restarted her machine five times and it wasn’t working and it wasn’t working and it wasn’t working… But in the end, the problem was found to be in Katri’s camera, and it has been changed now and it should work, so no need to talk about tech stuff anymore. K: Exactly! The problem was that that camera… it didn’t… it didn’t find this… this recording program with Skype… S: Mmm… K. … and we just couldn’t understand… because now and then it did find it and the next time it didn’t… maybe there was something wrong with the cables or somewhere… but really, jeez, it was such… S: We’re too tired to think about that… K: Yeah… But hey now, now from one thing to the seventh right away… I must tell you immediately these absolutely shocking news! S: Tell me, tell me, tell me… What? K: I can’t take this… Shocking news! Have to tell you right away! Totally shocking! S: Okay, shoot! K: Simon Cowell kicked out Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul… from X-factor! S: Oh wow! K: I mean, this is outrageous! S: Really? K: … as they were always arguing with each other. And I think that Paula was so lovely, when she and Simon were always ragging together, in a good-natured way. She was so wonderful because of that. And then he finally got that job as a host for the Voice of Finland (Katri mixes up the countries ) … S: He did? K: … And then he was so bad in it, already last year. And now I’m so annoyed since they are dropping that Steve Jones, or who was it, that host from the X-factor… he was still a thousand times better than that Carson… S: He was better, yes he was, yeah yeah K: And if Simon already lost his patience with this new Carson… Steve, I’m just like… what is happening with this Carson… Simon would probably say.,.. K: Isn’t Simon doing anything anymore in the American Idol? Isn’t he involved in any way anymore? S: No he isn’t because the same judges they had last year are all continuing in the American Idol. K: Yeah, they’re continuing but is he still somehow in the background? Wasn’t he originally somehow… S: For sure… I don’t know…I think Simon has now entirely moved to that X-Factor. So he… K: Okay, yes. Right. S: … isn’t involved in Idol in any way. But yes, the same people are circulating here… K: Well, that’s how it always is. S: … and I don’t know if like next year Simon could be in the American Idol again, you never know about these. K: That’s true. S: But yeah, the same trio of judges is continuing now at least in the American Idol. K: But that’s good because I thought they were good. S: I liked them too but now there’s been a dissension there as JLo was in opinion that Randy Jackson and Steven, they were letting sort of… even in this last episode they sort of let through some good-looking girls who really couldn’t sing and… K: No! S: … and Jennifer was there like, ”What are you actually thinking?” And it was a little bit like, I’m guessing that they have become closer,anyway, since they already last year went through that… K: True, true. S: … and I’m guessing that this year will be much better, that they have sort of chemistry going on with each other and there will be more disagreements also between the judges… what in my opinion is very interesting to watch, as the judges start fighting with each other over some contestants. K: Absolutely! Because in my opinion that’s the beauty of it because now, I mean today, in our paper there was that in the Finnish Idol’s episode tomorrow, (Katri rambling now…) in the last auditions in Helsinki… I mean the auditions are over now so then we can start talking about the contestants more now when we get more familiar with them, during the theatre weekend I mean. But in that story there was that, well, Laura and Jone (two of the judges) are genuinely fighting with each other. S: Okay. K: I mean, the atmosphere is totally freezing.
(They continue talking about the Finnish Idol)
**-** 9:02 S: Now, I think that we are going to evaluate a bit the judges of these Idols – both the American and Finnish - based on the couple of first episodes, and if there happens to be some Idol gems too, we’ll pay some attention to them also. K: Mmm.. S: For example in the American Idol, I can say that when I watched an episode, I can’t remember a single name of those who were singing there. K: Exactly. S: So, only after the sheep have been separated from the goats and we have the actual finalists or so or who… K: … got through… S: … or much less people who… K: Right. S: … people can remember and of who will be mentioned in the headlines and written about in the papers, then we will concentrate on them, but now we can concentrate a little bit more in these squabbles between the judges. K: Exactly. I totally agree. S: Mmm… K: We too have now the Voice of Finland and Finnish Idol, jeez we can’t talk about the contestants yet since we don’t even remember them. So earlier it’s been during the theatre weekend (Finnish Idol) that… S: Yeah.. K: …I’ve actually started really thinking that “okay, that one could get far.” Well, but… S: Yes.. K: About Voice of Finland, tomorrow on Friday… no, what day is it today… is it Wednesday today….? I’m so mixed up with the weekdays… S: Wednesday, yes. Tomorrow it’s Friday… (chuckling at Katri) K: No, day after tomorrow… S: I still have Tuesday evening here… K: (laughs) (They continue talking some more about the Voice of Finland) **-** 10:39 K: But hey, at this stage we can tell everybody that Sauli has managed to get all the tech things working so from now on we really can follow Idols and Voice of Finland. This is absolutely great news! S: Well yes, now everything’s working, I can see everything here! Yesterday I actually watched the Dream Weddings from the YLE Arena pages (NOTE: Dream Weddings is a Finnish program to which couples who are planning on getting married can apply. If they are accepted, the whole wedding process, starting from the planning and finishing at the wedding reception, will be filmed and shown on TV.) K: (expression!) We have to talk about that some time because that is such a legendary TV series… S: Oh my God… K: … it is so… When is it starting again? I can’t remember anymore. S: It started now, it started now… I’m not getting… well. I admit (lifts his hand) that me and my friends have been… we have been watching those, well, more than once, but yeah, well… (he seems a little bit embarrassed here…) (laughs) K: I mean, it is so… I can’t take it… Pony and Donkey… S: I started following the program right after they had that episode where there was that Pony and Donkey. K: Yeah, Pony! Exactly! It was totally legendary! I mean it’s so good! (laughs) S: Jeezhh! K: Well… S: But it‘s funny… that’s an interesting program to watch, like how people are living so different lives and well, that… people having different values and all. It isn’t… let’s say that the least important reason for me to watch the program is that I would see the part when they’re in the church or the actual wedding. But the part what they are telling about the bride and the groom and their family and… It’s really interesting and sometimes it’s even really good entertainment. K: It is so good entertainment! That this is really like… S: Soooo entertaining… (laughs) K: I mean, it is so good… but then sometimes people are taking it as an insult, like “You can’t laugh at those people”…. Well, come on - if you are attending… S: Right. K: … a TV program like that, people are allowed to laugh. In a good natured way. It doesn’t mean that, like… S: I agree. For sure people are laughing at us while we are babbling here… K: Yeah, it’s all comedy. S: … and all. I agree that if you get attending the show, you want your own wedding there… or open your own life like that… (gestures) K: Yeah, right. S: … publicly to everyone, then in my opinion people can have opinions about it. K: Absolutely. I so agree with you on this. It’s just like if… S: This is actually good because often people are saying like, “you really can’t say like that” and all, but everything what you see on TV… well not EVERYTHING, of course… but let’s say these… this is a sort of an entertainment program… (meaning Dream Weddings) K: Yeah. S: … so sure you’re allowed to laugh, right? K: Yes! Because I was also thinking about that why they are attending since, I mean, there’s always a reason why people go into programs like that, and they open their weddings for everyone to see… S: Yes. K: … so either it’s because you want the publicity so then it’s like that in my opinion people can laugh at you. All the people who are looking for publicity… S: Yeah. K: … have gone there at least a little because of that, so then you, you can be freely criticized. S: Right. K: I mean, we too are criticized all the time! S: Yes! And I’ve spent three months in the BB house sometime in year xyz… K: Yes S: … so should I start sulking with everybody like, “Why are you laughing at me there now?” K: Precisely! You can just imagine that… I mean, there… S: There I was like a monkey in a cage, on TV screens at peoples’ homes, entertaining the watchers. K: Exactly! That’s why you went there, so that also other people would have fun and not only you, because everyone knows that… S: (laughs)… monkeys in a cage… K: … people are watching you there. Well, then… another is, can be – oh once again I’m hearing my voice echoing… S: Okay. K: Another problem can be… or another idea why people are going into that… S: Have you taken your medicine? (KIDDING :D ) K: (laughs) … is that, that they are thinking… S: I was thinking that if you hear something in your head… (points) K: Really, I’m again hearing an echo of my voice in my ears, this is awful. Yeah… S: Yeah, I was asking if you had taken your medicine? K: I heard you! S: If you are hearing voices in your head… K: Njanjanjanjanjaaa! S: Hahahaha K: Yeah, then another reason for why they are getting into that is that they might be thinking that they want to show what kind of wedding they are having so that people would get a little jealous about it. Like, “Look now what kind of a great wedding I’m having!” “I have the world’s best husband!” S: Yeah. K: And “I have the world’s best wife!” And yeah, like “Geez, look how greatly we have everything organized.” S: Right. K: Because something like this could also motivate people to participate in a program like that. S: Yeah, that’s for sure. K: And other people might think there’s not actually so much to be jealous about, and many times I’m even laughing myself as they are thinking that they have the world’s greatest wedding. And then I’m… S: (laughs) K: … just thinking that I probably wouldn’t organize a wedding quite like that… but to each his own…. S: Yeah, sure. K: … there’s nothing wrong in that. But I do think that you are allowed to laugh a little at how different people are and what kind of differences they have. S: Yes, and… K: Because that’s what it’s about. S: … how people are behaving. You can see it well when you are looking at how people are behaving in front of the TV cameras. Like, they’re having a sort of a role on all the time. K: (laughs) S: You know, like pretending something immediately when the cameras are shooting. But is so good when they are also shooting when people really don’t know that they are being filmed. K: That’s true. S: And then you can see that sort of a… that real action. K: (laughs) S: I have to say that there have also been those… those moments when you’re like all “Aww…”, you get a little emotional when you’re watching them. K: Yes, sure. S: Wonderful things, but I mean… yeah… so it goes. K: (laughs) They continue talking about some more about Dream weddings, move on to Miss Finland Pageant. **-** 18:20 S: Oh dear, how time flies! K: Well, you tell me… you being there and all. You went there already a year ago for the first time. Time flies so fast. S: Yes! Here I am, I’ve been here like over a year now. K: Yeah, how… oh my goodness – think… and haven’t been homesick at all… (teasing Sauli) S: No!!! K: (laughs) S: I’m just writing my blog, but well, yeah… right… K: Yes. S: I’ve been very happy here. K: Yes, but I mean.. S: Okay… K: Yeah, sometimes time flies so annoyingly fast… But hey, well… S: In the evenings, now in the evenings we have about +18 C so sometimes you have to put a cardigan on. (teasing Katri) K: Oh dear, how really awful! S: (laughs) K: We have only -18 C here outside. I was just saying that I’m so totally freezing here beside these doors… it’s so cold here. I had to put a thick sweater on. S: Oh jeez. **-** 20:49 (talking about the new temperamental Miss Finland first and then: ) S: If I wouldn’t win a beauty pageant, I would blow up this whole world. K: (laughs) That’s why you shouldn’t participate in one, so we can keep… you’d just better keep on thinking that… S: Yeah, I don’t bother to participate. K: … you’d win in any case. S: Yes! I’m not participating in anything unless I win! K: Right! Exactly! (laughs) S: Yeah yeah. K: Good mentality, for sure. S: (laughs) K: Hey, but now we have the Presidential election. Have you voted already? S: I have voted already. K: So did I, yesterday evening. S: Yes. K: Ten to eight, the last advance poll day. I was thinking that I can’t leave it to the election day since then I will forget it. S: Yes, I went already on Friday last week. K: Okay, how did the voting go? Where was it held there? S: Here… I mean there in the consulate. K: So you went there and filled the ballot and there was nothing else there? S: Nothing. And then the ballot to the ballot box. K: Yes, okay. Where is the consul… consulate there? S: In Beverly Hills. K: Is it that where… it’s not that where we went that time, is it?(She means one Roadshow episode) S: No, that was the one where the consulate,… this consul… the house, where they live, but… K: Okaaayy… S: But well, yeah… K: There in Bel Air? S: In Bel Air, but this was the actual consulate… is it consulate? K: Consulate, I guess. Oh, that is… S: Yes, that’s in Beverly Hills. K: Beverly Hills, yes. Oh no… Did you see Beckham? S: Beckham…? K: Yes. (laughs) S: No, I haven’t seen him. (laughs) K: Oh no… S: I really haven‘t been hanging around there in Beverly Hills. K: Oh. Okay. Well, it’s a little bit… You have to go there always by car since you really can’t walk anywhere in there… S: Yes, you do. K: Sure, it’s a cool place but it’s so fenced all around so you can’t see anything and… S: So what do you do there… and then there’s just one expensive shack…boutique.. after another K: Exactly, it isn’t… S: You really can’t… you just end up wasting all your money and everything and come back with empty pockets. K: Yeah. S: There’s no point in going there, no… K: No no no. S: Yeah. K: Hey, but hey – next week we’ll continue with news from Beverly Hills and American Idol and everything else. And now I’ll also start watching it since I haven’t had time before. I’ve been a little busy with the election thing. S: Yeah, yeah, and we have a lot in here (to talk about). But now we’ll just concentrate a little bit more on the judges while we’re watching the programs and so… K: Exactly. S: And well, there are going to be good conflicts there since when you’re watching these American Idols and all, there are just as many bad singers as good singers and you get all mixed up with them so there’s not point in paying them more attention yet. K: Right, that’s true. And now let’s hope that this thing has recorded now… because I’m afraid of pressing… S: Well, if it hasn’t recorded, then at that point there’s going to be that explosion… K: (laughs) S: … that blows up this whole globe. So you’ll feel it there all the way in Finland, too. K: Okay wonderful, Sauli – it was great that for once we didn’t have any problems. Let’s see how it is after I press the stop… “Sauli – this hasn’t recorded!” (laughs) S: (laughs) If it hasn’t recorded, all I can say is that the next Tutka won’t start with quite as happy face as I have now! Tutka Radio Broadcast: This is Sauli calling from New York, can you hear me, Katri? February 17th, 2012
NOTE: Katri and Sauli had major problems with taping this Tutka, especially with Katri being sick with a bad flu, and as a result they ended up making a "Radio-Tutka", i.e. a Tutka without video, with only the sound. There is video only for 15 seconds in the beginning and the last about 4 minutes on the tape.
However, there was also something else wrong with the taping since only about the first four minutes and last three minutes are working properly - the rest is just looping the same recording over and over again, in random pieces. As a result, there really isn't much to translate here. Apparently they were not aware of this before the video was published, since Katri mentiones at the website that they talked about Madonna and SuperBowl, Katy Perry and Lagy Gaga, and Whitney Houston. Unfortunately none of this is on the tape. :(

K:… so that I can see how upside down you are once again here… (Sauli’s pic first sideways, then upside down) Because if you’re now upside down… a minute ago you were like this, sideways (shows with her arm) S: Okay… so now this is the last option, this way… (turns his mobile phone). K: Okay, let’s see how this looks now… hold on a second… Nooo, how is this going here… I’m showing something totally wrong… Look… Hey, now… S: Do we… are we already…? K: We are recording now, yes… Look, hey look, there’s… Sauli is in New York, and I’m – surprisingly – in Helsinki… really like, yay!... but it’s daytime for both of us! This is totally incomprehensible! S: It’s daytime for both of us… or actually it’s morning for me. K: Okay. Now I can see… S: But it’s just really bad weather here, it’s all cloudy and dark… Yesterday it was so nice to walk along the streets of New York, the sun was shining and it was warm, + 10 C. And, well… K: Yeah, it’s such a pity that it’s a bit cloudy now, I’m so sorry for you. (irony here! ) S: But I’m leaving later today to go back to LA. Just can’t stay here… too cold! K: (laughs) I called Sauli the other day, like “what’s it like there…” “It’s wonderfully sunny here, -2 C, I’m totally frozen.” I was, like, “Well, come here, we’ve had -20 C all the time,” Do you have any kind of winter coat at all, Sauli? S: No… I had to go and buy a couple of cardigans so I had something warm to put under my leather jacket. K: (laughs) So you’re really… S: I don’t know… I left everything in Finland… what would I do with them in LA… K: Yeah… S: … it’s so sunny there… Let’s say that it was really nice to come here to a bit cooler place and breath some fresh winter air… K: Is there any snow at all? S: … yeah. K: Is there any snow at all? S: No! K: Well, of course not. So you’ve really missed the snow everywhere! S: (laughs) Yeah, that’s right. K: You have such a bad luck all the time! S: The last time I saw snow was when we were leaving to make Tutka Roadshow. K: (laughs) Oh yeah, there at the Grand Canyon! That’s where we’ve last seen… S: Yeah, but I mean in Finland… last time I saw snow there was when we were leaving (Note: a year ago in March), it was snowing. K: Oh yes, true. And we were sliding down from there, from Senaatintori, that was great. Or I mean from that hill… from that church. S: Yes. K: I can tell you, I haven’t remembered a single word during these past two weeks. It just.. I just can’t… Today I tried to find the word for a coat rack, you know, trying to remember what you call a coat rack, and I’m not lying when I say that I kept thinking about it for like five minutes, thinking, “what is that thing called, that one which those clothes are hanging on” (laughs) I’ve been so sick… this just isn’t working at all… S: Oh no… have your brains turned totally mushy? K: I don’t have them anymore… if I even had them before… Oh dear… I’m drinking this Tchaé tea here again. S: Okay. We have an awful lot to talk about… K: Yes we do! S; We don’t dare start at all… K: (giggles) No we don’t… S: There’s no other way than to just start right away now since there’s so much… K: This is just awful because… well, we were talking one day, or I mean we have been talking on the phone for several days now about what we’re going to talk about, and we’re coming up with new ideas all the time, so now we just have to start. Okay… Besides, all our original ideas are already out-of-date… Let’s first talk quickly about Madonna’s performance at the Super-Bowl. What did you think about it? S: Umm… I thought the whole thing was… it was very well designed and looked fine, but somehow Madonna wasn’t totally in there… She seemed somehow really lazy while she was dancing and performing, and she looked really tired. I don’t really know… K: Really, seriously… S: (talks at the same time) I can… K: Go ahead.
(The tape gets all messed up after this, their talk is in loop, repeating the same things they said above over and over again, with long silent moments in between. Technical something that Katri didn’t know about until late this evening when she was reading her blog comments. She’s really sorry. This messed up section is about 13 minutes long.)
17:20 – (Katri’s side of video is working here) K: … Hey, since this is not working on audio nor on video and you can’t see us, or I mean you can just hear us… this is sort of a radio program, this turned out to be that now… and we can’t retape this because I’m on sick leave and I’m here now already at the end of my strength, and Sauli needs to go to the breakfast… We are really sorry that once again this came into this… I’m not going to say that word starting with “t” which is the reason for all of these problems, but I think that the connection with Sauli’s mobile wasn’t the best one for this now… so we’re going to talk about Putous and Idol and Voice next week, then… (laughs tiredly – you can see that she’s really getting tired) S: Yeah, we have a lot to talk about them and Putous will be a new addition to our program selection because we both have been following that closely now, so we have to get to talk about that. K: Right, exactly. But hey, now… we had a good conversation so far and I hope you enjoyed this sort of a radio program this time. (laughs) S: Yeah, yeah. And then we had… which all did you list, do you have Idols and Voice there too now? K: Yeah, I do. They’re all listed now so we’ll remember to talk about them. S: Okay, good. K: We have a lot to talk about Putous too. S: And I’ve been watching all those programs here, Voice and Idols and Putous, and I have a list of things I want to tell about them. K: Okay. That’s wonderful, cause that’s something we can move on with. Hey great, people there - I hope this cheered you up a bit, it certainly cheered us up after a week – after these two weeks, because each and everyone is getting a bit crazy here after lying sick in bed at home so long. But hey, next week we’ll be back with new tricks… S: Yeah… let’s hope these things work… K: Seriously Sauli, I see you… If you could only see what you look like now in my camera… you’re like a character from that movie Avatar… first of all, you’re all blue… (laughs) and your face is moving around in these pixels… OMG… (laughs more) Okay, but since you can’t see us, there’s no point in trying to make up some explanations. But anyway… this didn’t quite go as we’d planned, but luckily the scenery from your hotel room wasn’t that spectacular anyway, since it was all rainy and foggy, so no one missed anything. S: (sits down) Yeah. K: Well, okay - now we’re taping and let’s hope it’s recording, because now we’ve found out what was our problem. Our computer is broken. I mean my computer is broken. We have here thr… four different ports where you can put these damn cables, and these here (shows)… and these are always… no…So that was the reason! Well, now we…again we were sitting here… S: You’ve been putting those cables in wrong places… K: Exactly! (laughs) Cables are a bit loose here, yeah… Hey, now we’ll start… S: Yes. K: … talking right away because we have now so much to talk about. First of all, I have to… S: (laughs) K: … tell you that really, I can’t… seriously, I opened my TV this morning… S: Mmhmm… K: … and I saw that Daniel (Prince Daniel of Sweden) was there… saying so sweetly “A sweet little princess was born born to us this morning.” I almost got… S: Oh wow… K: … teary-eyed because he was so sweet… That Daniel somehow, since he’s so adorable because he’s so ordinary and such, and then he was there just blushing and a bit uncomfortable, not really knowing how to put it… Knowing that the whole Sweden had been waiting for this… he’s so sweet! S: Oh wow… K: Mmmmmmm…. S: Victoria’s pregnancy went by awfully quick. (Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden) K: Well, sure it did because you’re there so you never see how her belly was growing bigger. S: Somehow it… it feels like they just recently announced that she’s pregnant and now all of a sudden the baby’s here. It’s a bit like how it was with Beyoncè’s baby… K: Yes! S: … now they announced it and the baby was already born the next day… K: (guffaws) S: So it seems this is the way how the celebs are having babies… K: But then on the other hand, in my opinion Jessica Simpson has been pregnant forever already, so how can she now... S: She has? K: Yes! In my opinion she’s been forever. Beyoncé did get her baby pretty quickly compared to when it was announced. But I think it’s maybe because Jessica is so… she has been so pregnant for a very long time already… S: Yeah. K: She has been looking like already five months ago like she is going to give birth any minute now. So that’s why I think she’s been pregnant forever. S: Is it just that she’s been a bit more chubby for five years (note: Sauli really does say five years, not five months ) K: (takes a sip of her mug just as Sauli is talking and almost spits it out while laughing) S: (laughs) K: And hey, Sienna Miller is going to have a baby soon! Everybody’s having children now, it’s unbelievable. And, you know, Martina… S: That’s how life goes on, people are having children, and people are getting divorced, and… K: Yeah… S: … people are dying, and… you know… K: Yeah, right. Yeah, that’s how it goes… Martina Aitolehti is pregnant again here in Finland… S: Yeah, I read about that... K: Yeah, and Viidakon tähtöset (a new program) will start soon… *** 3:25 - K: Hey, okay, now we have to apologize for that Tutka we did last time with Sauli in New York because (laughs) it was such a total disaster! S: Really, that whole day… that whole day was just something awful. It started with that Tutka, and it didn’t want to go on tape, we were tinkering with it for at least two hours and only thing we managed to tape was the weather in New York… and that Katri had been sick at home. And that was only the beginning… K: (guffaws) S: …the beginning of the whole hell breaking loose! I left from New York to Los Angeles, I had a direct flight, and it took me two days to get to Los Angles and I spent the night at some lousy airport hotel in Minneapolis and I was so furious and all, and when I got back home - when I finally arrived in LA, I called Katri saying, “you’re not going to believe how long my trip was after our Tutka call …” So I left immediately after the Tutka taping to the airport and arrived home two days later, so… K: It was absolutely shocking… But I just laughed at you because I just said that I’ve gone through that a million times S: Yeah. K: … so njanjanja… S: It’s not nice. But now I can already laugh about it. K: Right, exactly. But hey, well, yeah. So, at that time we were talking about Super Bowl, among other things. Actually, we can recap shortly what we talked about then. Let’s continue with Idols and Voice and all that a bit later. S: Mmm. K: About Super-Bowl and Madonna’s performance, that she was like a teen pop star wheb she should really behave according to her age, perform with much more dignity nowadays, not squating down in some micro shorts. S: Yeah, I pretty much think the same… we were just talking that after all she is already a bit older lady and so highly regarded, so somehow she shouldn’t… Okay, you do have to follow the music a bit, like what is pop right now, and what is in, and like that. But she should find her own place, since there are so many teen pop stars that… K: Mmm… one can’t compete with them anymore. There are also Lady Gagas and Katy Perries and all, and they are at the age when they have to do that, but Madonna doesn’t have to anymore. S: Then there’s also the thing that Madonna has, after all, always had her own style and that’s what all these teen pop stars have been following a bit. So she could move the thing to some new direction again. K: Right. Exactly. And in my opinion the dignity is in that.. In couple of the songs she was great but especially in that… that bloody Music when she tries… she can’t even squat down properly anymore and it just looked so embarrassing that I can’t even… I really don’t think I’m going to go see her in concert anymore because in my opinion the concert in Jätkäsaari was so fabulous that I don’t, I don’t have to go anymore. S: Yeah, it was really great. K: Mmmm. Well, but hey, you were watching that… the Grammy Awards on TV. You wanted to say something about Katy Perry. About her blue hair. S: It’s such a long time since I was watching… what were we talking about, I wonder… K: You just said that you don’t like how she tries to copy Lady Gaga… I’m just reminding you. She has had her own good and nice style after all, and then in my opinion she somehow moved in to that Lady Gaga -type style and all… K: Yes! That blue hair was awful! S: (sound breaks here for a moment) about that Lady Gaga’s overboard-going style and all. I do like her music, but, well… K: It’s a little bit passé already. S: A little bit something new, not like… since in my opinion she’s already done everything… K: Right! S: … she’s worn all the dresses in the world and tried – and she does – but… I don’t know. This is a little bit like, how are you supposed to comment on this… K: Yes. S: … but I really do like her music an awful lot but somehow… she’s even started to annoy me now a bit. K: Me, too. I can’t stand those costumes of hers at all anymore… (whisks her hand) I think she’s, like… S: Yes. K: It was a great thing for a little while but now something… she could just be ordinary now, even that would be more interesting than that she’s always trying to force herself… S: Right. K: … to try something peculiar. Since she is already always so peculiar. that you just can’t be any more peculiar than that. Okay, but hey, now let’s get into the Finnish stuff since we still have to talk about Voice and Putous and all. And then I have to go and write an awful lot of stuff about the princess, the little princess. I’m so happy that it was a princess because just think about all those lovely pretty dresses she’ll be wearing soon and I just can’t take this… S: Yeah. K: Right! (laughs) But here… (shows a story of Finnish Idol in the newspaper) S: Who do you have there… hair is shining. Oh, okay… K: Here. Hey, guess what? Look, Diandra is number one, with 35 % of the votes in our net poll, and Torsten is number two. And guess what Diandra said to me yesterday when I was met them all. (Note: these are Finnish Idol contestants) S: What? K: Like, “I’m a big Tutka fan! I can’t take this, I always watch Tutka!” And then I said… S: Hey, me and Diandra have been in the same theater, in a musical. K: Yes, she told me. S: Yeah. K: When she said, “I can’t take this, I once saw Sauli somewhere and eeek!” (laughs) S: (laughs) She is a lovely girl. K: She is so lovely! I was just like… S: So I was in a musical, I was like a host there, so I wasn’t singing myself, just to make this clear to you all that I don’t sing. K: (laughs) S: Or we were supposed to sing, so we were singing in a choir all together and I just moved my mouth, but yeah. It was a sort of a Christmas play. K: Yeah, she told it was some musical. S: Yeah. K: I was thinking, like “has Sauli been in a musical…?” Okay, but hey, these are…(continues about the Finnish Idol) *.*.* At around 11:00 Katri’s phone rings and she has to answer it. Sauli is playing around with two phones. Katri stops the recording for her phone call. *.*.* 11:50 About the American Idol K: They are always looking for some kind of a story. In general, the guys who make it to the finales are the ones who have some kind of a story. I mean, that’s so… They all are such good singers there so that’s why they want especially people like that there. But hey, I have to say… S: (chuckles) K: … there is this one really good one, this Lauren Gray. S: Yes! yeah. I like her too. Absolutely great. (bursts into laughter) K: She’s absolutely great. But we have to talk more about them later because I don’t know enough of them yet (laughs at Sauli’s shenanigans) S: Hoh hoh! K: Once again I got this verbal diarrhea and now you’re starting… S: I’m here already, like… with one foot… I was going to say in the grave!... but it’s in the bed. K: (laughs) S: OMG! Katri's version is... pure and original Katrisism ) S: But also about something else. Yes, yeah. But even when you aren't trying to use those proverbs, you still can make up some... K: ... things of my own. S: ...new meanings for the words. K: Yeah, right! I'm sure you remember how I tried to figure out a word... S: Yes, I do. K: ... the meaning of it, and I couldn't remember it, so then I tried to make something of my own there... S: And in the end I always knew what you meant... That story of him is really unbelievable, I mean his story is really incredible, oh god. S: Oh dear. K: I mean, damn what a singer! So, like… S: Jussi Piipertäjä (Note: Sauli plays here with Justin Bieber’s name. If you “transfer” it to Finnish, just using the pronunciation as the basis, it could be something like Jussi Piipertäjä, where Piipertäjä can mean someone who peeps or squeaks). K: Yeah… but that Robin was lovely. Hey really, he just released an album or something, at least I heard something yesterday and saw it on Google… (Note: Katri talked about Robin in this Tutka) S: I was watching that, that, that… which program was it that I watched and he was also there… I mean, I’ve been watching here all kinds of…oh, it was Korkojen kera! K: Yeah, it was the one where he was on after Antti Kaikkonen’s heart wrenching opening… S: Yeah yeah, I watched it afterwards because you had talked about it. I watched it, and well, he was really sympathetic in it… K: So sweet… S: ... like that, yeah. Let me tell you, he’s going to become a real star there in Finland. K: Mmmhmm. Here we can see that you don’t necessarily need TV shows, you yourself can… S: Right. K:... if you’re good enough, you can sure make that happen to yourself if you just sort of… S: Exactly. K: ... if someone discovers you after you’ve done something yourself. S: True. K: That’s what happened to Bieber, he was just singing those songs in YouTube. So this is how… S: Yes. S: We have the Oscar Gala here on Sunday, so well… K: That’s right! The Oscars! And the Putous Finale is already over then! S: Yes, and then on Sunday the Oscars and I’m going to follow that very closely here, so well… K: Oh good! (claps her hands) and hey, then we also know the 10 Idols finalists (Finnish Idol). S: That’s right. K: Then we can talk about them, too. Yes! We have a lot to talk about next time. And now that this thing (recording) seems to be working again! All the shops here are, like, I mean those clothes boutiques, they are all full of people and the whole Hollywood Boulevard was closed already like four days ago, the traffic’s all messed up here because of… K: Why? S: Well, the Oscar Gala. K: Wait, what are those dresses there…? Why are the dresses…? I mean what? What are those boutiques…? S: Well, those boutiques… people are going there to get their suits and dresses and all. Down there in Beverly Hills there are many shops which are closed since the celebs are picking up their dresses and Hollywood Boulevard was closed already four days ago and… K: Nooo… already four days ago? S: Yeah yeah. There is an awful hassle already there on Hollywood Boulevard, since they are setting it up. So they are making the arrangements there. K: Nooo… S: Yes. K: Hey, you have to take a couple of pictures from there now and put them in your blog, in that Ilta-Sanomat blog. S: Yeah, but I’m not really actually going to that red…, to that Oscar Gala. K: But you have to go now and make a story about all the arrangements. I mean, that’s really interesting. S: Yeah, yeah, right. K: Just go there and take pictures, they are probably going to arrest you for it but never mind. (laughs) S: What…? K: They are probably going to arrest you but never mind. (laughs) You just go there and take pictures from every angle, like how it’s looking like now, how all the streets have been closed, and write a sort of a report of it. S: (laughs) Yeah, right! K: I want to see those pictures about what it is looking like now. Okay, so they have already closed… oh wow. Listen, I’m so tired here! ”Oh, how there were so rrrrrich and prrrretty people yesterday and…” K: I was laughing so hard when Sauli sent that message, ”There are so many awwwfully rrrrrich and prrrrretty people…” S: ”They are so rrrrrich people, and prrretty, and you know, the bubbly was flowing and we went to bath togetherrrr and…” (Note: Sauli is quoting Leena Hefner, the winning character of the Finnish TV show Putous.) K: No kidding! Hey, well, I was just saying that think if Leena Hefner had been there, she probably would have jumped on everybody’s lap! (laughs) S: I would have taken Leena Hefner right away as my avec to that party! (laughs) K: She was so… but really a really good Putous winner, let’s just say that briefly before we continue on to… S: Let’s say that, yeah… K: … the Oscars. Yeah well, in my opinion she was really so… So she was your favorite, what did you think about it? S: Absolutely fabulous! I was all pumped up when she won. I’m so happy on behalf of Leena Hefner and I hope we will see a lot of Leena Hefner on TV in the future. K: Exactly, I liked her too. S: But just a moment ago I started feeling so empty, I was thinking like “Help, now the Putous is over so I won’t see Leena Hefner anymore!” and then I went to the YouTube and wrote “Leena Hefner” there and I found all the videos there and I watched them again all in one go and I was just laughing here by myself. But let’s talk about Putous more in our second Tutka. K: Yeah exactly, let’s talk more about it when we tape the second Tutka. S: Mmm. K: But hey, now – I’ve been waiting so much that I can ask you about the Oscars, because I’m here all like, ”I can’t take this!” Sauli!!! S: What can’t you take? K: Well, that you were there… Suddenly I’m seeing all these pictures, like, “Here is this Katy Perry whose hair I just last week criticized about being too blue - well, here I am now posing with her.” I was like this (her expression! 1:40) “Sauli!” S: I was thinking that it’d be really nice to give a bit closer look at that hair, you know… K: … so you can see… (laughs) S: … so I’ll have something to tell about it, so we can really talk about it. But now I have to say that Katy Perry’s hair was really pretty great. I liked it! It was great… K: Turnabout! (points at Sauli with a finger) S: (bursts into laughter)… no, but it was so well cut and it looked pretty. In my opinion Katy Perry looked really unbelievably good. First of all, I think she has lost a little bit more weight… K: Mmmm… S: … and then that dress she was wearing, and in my opinion… that blue hair really didn’t bother me at all at that point because she looked so pretty. And her eyes are unbelievably big and pretty! K: Yes, true! And then she knows how to do her makeup… S: Right! K: ... or whoever it is that does her makeup, it was really pretty. S: And then she is sort of so stylish and easy-going and sort of like, sort of… somehow when I saw her more closely, I was just like “Aah… looking so lovely and so wonderful!” K: Noo, noo… S: Yeah! K: Well, did you talk with her? S: Well, just really like something about this and that, I said like howdy there, so… K: But… S: Well, I’ve already seen her at that birthday party of hers! K: Yeah yeah! I remember that… S: So she was an old acquaintance already. Kati Pääkkönen (Note: Sauli translates Katy’s name to “Finnish” ) K: Yeah, yeah, just like “Hi, how are you doing? Oh my dear love!” S: (sound is breking here) Pääkkönen’s Kati. K: (laughs) S: Well, we and who else there was now… K: ”We and who else there was now…” (waves her hand) Well, hey, so okay now – first, tell us about the place, what was it like. So what is Elton John’s party like? S: Well, it was just amazing! I had no idea in the beginning what kind of a party it was going to be, so… I don’t know… well, surely you know that I haven’t attended Elton John’s parties before, but well, so… it was just so… K: Well, how could I… S: … wonderfully organized. You know, there was that white pile carpet and that space was huge – it was like a big tent, inside of which, or I don’t know, there were many different tents of different sizes, but the area was just insanely big and… K: Where was it? S: In West Hollywood. K: Okay, were there several of these tents put up or were there… S: It was like a big… it’s really difficult to explain but I’m sure that if people have seen pictures, then… first there was that big hall with all the tables and then there were different places for getting drinks and dancing and… K: Right, right. S: Really nicely and stylishly organized. Well, you can just think that with these… K: Yea… yes… I can think! S: (looking for words) … setups… around here, you can’t… well… K: Well, yeah, because it is one of the most popular parties… S: All the lights and all the screens… somehow that whole place and that hall were just fascinating and… K: Okay, so there… S: … those fancy blue lights, and the tables were set up so… “Everrrrything was set up so nicely and therrrre was bubbly and all.” (Note: Another citing of Leena Hefner) (laughter) K: Well, what did you eat? S: Aaa… food… (nods) K: Oh? S: Yes. K: By any chance do you happen to remember what kind of food? Were there, like, these bite-size things, those cocktail bits or… S: Well, all kinds of… (sound breaks) Well, those cocktail things, yeah, kind of those cocktail… there were… yeah. You know when you sit at the table like that there are like 50 forks and knives, you’re a bit like “ehhh… which one should I start with” and then you have these little thingies coming on the table in front of you…well, so… (laughter) K: Well so, what was the dress code there? Did everyone have to have specifically an evening dress? S: Black tie, so, like… aaa… yeah (searches for a word but can’t find if) Let’s say that women wore evening gowns and men wore suits. K: Was the invitation card itself already fine-looking? S: (thinks) Umm… I guess it was, I haven’t seen any invitation card… K: (laughs) Okay, you just went there like, ”I know nothing.” S: Yeah yeah. K: Okay, hey, well… S: But they sure had written the names elegantly on the place cards, they had even written Sauli Koskinen correctly there, I was really marveling that they had known how to… K: On the table? S: What? K: You mean on the table? S: Yeah yeah yeah. K: Cool! S: Right. K: Well but so, you actually got to sit at the main guy’s table, so what was Elton John like then? S: Well there were quite a lot of people buzzing around there, hanging in there but I just exchanged a couple of words with him too, and he seemed like a really nice and sort of like… good at cracking jokes. K: Oh! S: Yeah. A kind of a humorist. K: (laughs) Okay! Excellent! Hey, hold on just a second, I… (switches the connection off and back on again because of the echo) S: Where should we continue…? K: Where? S: I’m all exhausted here! I can say that I’ve been feeling today just all… I wouldn’t say that I were aallll that drunk and such, but let’s say that I’m feeling a bit out of energy after a party like that. K: Yeah… it’s awful when you get to see so many people there, that’s true. S: Yeah, and you just have to keep on smiling, so I did have a bit of a headache today, and you know… K: Oh, that’s strange! (laughs) S: Strange, somehow my jaws were just hurting because I had to be like this all the time (cracks a wide smile) K: Oh my god… but okay, so then what…? You were eating and then you were drinking, but there wasn’t any dancing or such there? S: Well, surely people were able to dance there whenever… you know the main idea of the party was to watch the Oscar Gala on those screens. K: Oh yeah, yeah. So you were watching all those… were people commenting on those dresses or the awards or… S: That, too. But it was really nice, a sort of an easy-going atmosphere, so you didn’t have to sit at the table all the time. So you could move and wander around freely and go and say hi to other people and all, you know, you didn’t have to… it was like, every time they brought food there, you went and ate it and then continued moving around and… K: Okay. S: It’s a pretty relaxed event. Nothing like, “Now, sit here and don’t move except during commercial breaks”, you know. K: Okay. So well, what were people there saying about the awards? S: (cracks up) I’m here all the time, like, ”you know”, ”you know” K: Yeah, yeah, I do know, I mean,”I have already visited all those events so many times that I’m just asking you now these things so that the other people will also get to know…” Hey, well… S: Yeah, just an ordinary Sunday party… K: (laughs) Ordinary… S: … here. There are plenty of those… (laughter) K: Absolutely… really! Well… S: Whoah… K: … but yeah… Hey, I was at the Finnvox Studios this week, too… no, last week, making a story about the Idols Top 15, I think it’s almost an equal occasion, for sure. S: Same thing, we’re on the same line. Yes. K: So, what were people there saying about the winners, were there… The Artist got many, The Artist (repeats and corrects her pronunciation) got several awards and Hugo got several awards, so did they say something about them or about Meryl Streep, who once again got the award for the best… S: Well, everybody was talking with everybody, there were no special numbers like someone getting on the stage to say something or like that. People were just talking there with each other about whatever they wanted to, just like that. K: Yeah, yeah, right. But, so you didn’t hear anyone especially gushing about anything, about the Artist or about those who got the best awards… S: Well, everybody was gushing, yeah, people gushing a lot about that movie The Artist. I’m a bit annoyed that I haven’t seen it yet, I was actually supposed to go and see it this week (Note: means probably last week), but I’m going to see it next week now… no, I mean this week, probably tomorrow. K: Yes. S: So after that I’ll know more about it. I’ve already seen that Hugo one and I think it is an absolutely great movie. K: Oh, okay! S: Yeah. K: Well, I’ve been planning on going to see both of those, but now I really have to… S: It’s really good. K: Okay, great! Well, I have to go and see them. S: In my opinion Meryl Streep was absolutely incredible, how she went to the stage and was there, like… or she was joking there like, ”Well, once again you all are probably thinking there, like “what the heck, that one again, what is she doing there again?” K: (laughs) S: She is so good! I don’t know… Doesn’t Meryl Street have the most number of Oscars, I mean of all the actresses? K: I don’t know, but if she has three, it surely must be so… No-one can really have more than that. But I think she was lovely, exactly like, “half of America is thinking, OMG – Again!!!” She was so good! S: Yes yeah, she was brilliant. K: I watched it live too, because I just happened to wake up at around six am, and then I was like ”Since it’s 6 am, I have to go and watch the best parts now.” So then… S: Right, exactly. K: … I started watching right from the moment when they were announcing the best male actor. And then they had George and Brad there, and then Gary Oldman, and I was just, like, “Aah… Oh, I wish I could hug you now since you didn’t win…” (her expression!) S: All of them! (laughter) K: But oh how that Brad is just getting even more handsome with time, and then I thought… their ladies were looking so fabulous! Angelina Jolie, even though she is so super thin that she really should gain some weight… S: She actually wasn’t, in my opinion she’s just… now she looked better, or I mean, she looked… well, she is as good-looking as one can be and all, but… K: Yes, she is! S: … let’s say that… What was that last gala I was just watching here on TV… (thinks) K: Could it have been BAFTA or what… no, what others there have been… Screen Actors something… S: I’m totally drawing a blank. K: There are so damn many, all those other galas before this one. But so, yeah anyway… S: Yes, there are. But in any case, in my opinion she looked much better now and was really sort of… K: She was yeah, yes. S: ”So rrreally prrrretty!” (Note: Leena Hefner cite once again.) And I do have to say about Tom Cruise, in my opinion, it seems he always looks the same. K: He does. S: He looks good, and he still looks like sort of young and exactly the same. K: That’s true. S: He doesn’t get older, not one bit. K: Not one bit! And I just read somewhere… S: I have to go and ask him how he stays looking like that year after year, he really looks just the same. K: He’s probably drinking those same bloody super shots you do! (laughs) S: Yeah. K: But I really don’t… S: (sound breaks here) K: Yeah, but hey, I didn’t like it when they had those clips in between, they had interviewed those people beforehand and then they were just showing these short clips… S: Mmmm K: … and then when they had Tom Cruise on screen, he was really like… (10:46 imitates Cruise) ”I think that…” and he was flirting with the camera. When all those others, like let’s say Julia Roberts – they were just talking like, “I think that the most wonderful thing in acting is...” And then comes this… (imitates Cruise) “But the most wonderful thing in acting is…” S: That is… (sound breaks). He’s a flirty guy, that one. K: (laughs) Yeah, but does he always have to try to be so… But hey, Katie Holmes was at that Vanity Fair party, she looked really good and had also lost an awful lot of weight. But hey! Now as I was watching that Elton John’s party, there were God knows who there! S: Oh, we got back there now. K: Yeah, let’s get back there. Because Heidi Kulum (mispronounces the name), Klum – after the divorce… S: Kulum! Heidi… K: Klum! Kulum’s Heidi S: Kulum’s Heidi (Note: yeah, they got carried away playing with the name :D) (laughter) S: Heidi (German pronunciation) K: She looked wicked good in that blue, no, she was in a… S: She was… K: … yellow dress. K: Did you talk with her? S: No, I didn’t talk with her at all. K: Okay. Well, how about Gwen Stefani, did you see her? S: No, I actually didn’t see her. There was after all quite a crowd since there were probably about… I don’t know… like 900 people… K: Oh okayyy… so it really was a proper party then. S: Yeah. K: Well, what… and then there were, who else was there? Hey, Miley Cyrus, oh jeez what a lovely dress! She was there, right. S: Oh wow. Yeah, she was there (holds a poker face ) K: Right (expression ) Well, what was she like? S: She was… well, I’m really not… I’m not exactly a real expert of analyzing people based on just a bit of small talk. But she was really laughter-loving, happy, pretty, and her dress really looked cool. And then that hair of hers, and red lips and so on. But, like… I think she seemed really happy, easy-going. Yeah. K: Okay, there you are. Hey, then I have to say, because a pretty similar dress was seen at the Vanity Fair party on Selena Gomez, she’s that… S: Yeah, Justin… K: Gomez, or how do you pronounce it… Justin Bieber’s girlfriend. S: Jussi Piiperi (another “Finnish” version of Justin Bieber’s name) K: Absolutely amazing! If I could choose the best dressed person in all of these galas together… S: She really was. K: … she was so incredible. In my opinion really… If you haven’t seen it yet, go and check it out... I mean her dress. It’s absolutely… It was so divinely gorgeous. I liked it really a lot. Very simple. This year they had very simple dresses, anyway. S: Yeah, that’s right. K: And the ponyta-… (shows with her hands) S: On the other hand, I didn’t like that… umm... the dress of that woman, that actress … who plays Marilyn in that movie. K: Michelle Williams S: Yeah, somehow… she had this red dress that would have been pretty without all those frills there in the middle of that dress… it looked like there was another miniskirt on over that dress. K: That’s true. I didn’t like it either. It was this sort of a weird tube dress and when she really is so pretty even though she has short hair, she is really feminine, but somehow that dress didn’t… it was just sort of hanging on her. S: Yeah. Have you seen that movie? K: No, I haven’t. I’d like to see it though. S: It’s worth it. She was incredibly good in it as Marilyn. She really was. But that movie was a little… I mean, the movie was good and all, but it would… In my opinion it would have still needed something, you know, it didn’t have any sort of pinnacle in it. K: Okay. Because I, I’ve – I saw those clips of it and I’ve seen the trailer too, and she for sure looks like… She is absolutely amazing in it. S: Yeah. K: And I mean, Michelle Williams is a really good actress, I like her very much. So I’m not wondering that she is always a nominee there. She has been for several times already. S: Right, exactly. K: But then what, what else could we say about those dresses? Well… yeah! This year a lot of women had left their hair loose, they hadn’t had very much at all done to their hair. And I hear that ponytail is very much “in” right now. And then, pretty much like no jewelry. Very simple, so that the dress is the thing. Which in my opinion is really nice, because I hate all those super big pieces of jewelry, so… I think that was… the gang was looking pretty much like sort of… “the gang was looking…” (shows the quotes with hands – laughs) S: The gang was looking… or those friends of ours… K: “Friends of ours” (laughter) K: Pretty much like sort of a bit careless style in a way. But for example I didn’t like Cameron Diaz’s dress at all, or Sandra Bullock’s. There were quite a lot of… And Natalie Portman’s dress was a bit… she had those polka dots... S: I really don’t understand that Sandra Bullock’s dress at all either. K: Me neither… S: Yeah. K: Then, what did you think about Jennifer Lopez’s dress? It has caused this major boob drama. Like, that she was flashing… S: I don’t remember the dress at all now… K: It was this really open one… S: A really open dress? (shows the cleavage with his hands) K: Yes. S: Well, I don’t know. After all, in that party I was in there were all kinds of open ones, from the side and from the front and so on, so I saw so many boobs last night, that… K: (laughs) S: … I don’t remember anymore whose boobs were the most memorable ones. (laughs) K: Yeah, I can imagine that it’s almost like a competition there… By the way, do you know anything about that, you know there’s actually a fierce competition about who can wear whose dress and they are like state secrets, you don’t talk about them to anyone beforehand, like who’s wearing Versace or whoever’s dress – so do you know anything about what it’s like there, like how secret they really are. S: I don’t know. You know, I really don’t know anything about those. I bet that it’s such a different thing with women’s dresses than with men’s suits. K: Yeah. S: Since for men it’s pretty much the one and only, the same dress code all the time. And then women get… K: (laughs) Exactly. S: … yeah, which is really wonderful (refers to the men’s dress code). But I actually did a little - it was a Black tie dress code you know, which means white shirt and black suit and I think a tie or a bowtie… K: Yes S: So I had a grey suit and a black shirt on. K: Yes, yes! (Shows thumbs up) That’s like it! You have to break a little… S: Yes! (laughs) K: Hey, well in Elton John’s parties there even Elton John doesn’t ever wear just any basic suits … S: Right K: Exactly, oh jeez. S: I was thinking that hey, I’m not going to that actual Oscar Gala anyway.(laughs) K: Well hey, now I’m still going to ask since that Oscar Gala was held in the Kodak Theatre, or actually in that Kodak Theatre which went bankrupt. It was funny that like two days before it wasn’t Kodak Theatre anymore and they were advertising everywhere… well that was a cool joke, though. S: Yes. K: And as it was closed. So have they already opened it? That whole street, I mean? (Note: She must mean the Hollywood Boulevard, they talked about it being closed for the Gala in previous Tutka) S: I actually don’t know, I don’t know. I can say that I haven’t moved anywhere at all from home today, so… K: Oh yes… (laughs) S: And I actually haven’t really, I haven’t now been walking around there very much anyway, but I think that it might be open now. K: Yeah, yeah, okay. S: They usually open it pretty quickly. K: Yeah, so it was, like, there was that party (points at one direction). Then was that other party over there (points in the other direction)… and I guess there were some other parties around the city also during the Oscars, right? S: Yeah, yeah, I guess several of them in different places and… K: Okay. S: … afterparties and all. All kinds of parties. K: So you didn’t go, you two spent like the whole evening there, so it was also your afterparty place. S: Well basically it was also the afterparty place too. K: Yeah, right, S: Yeah. K: Oh wow! Well, how does it feel, tell us about the general atmosphere – Oscar day, what is it like there, are people in a good mood or is it somehow like “now we’re all going out to show ourselves, I’m all dressed up and now we’re smiling at everybody” (shows), like this. Or what is it… well, okay… I guess Elton’s party is a bit more relaxed. S: Well, I don’t know, since once again I’ve never been to the Oscar Gala myself, so it can be so. But let’s say that it was pretty cool when everyone was looking so… people had dressed up to their best and everyone was having a good time. But then there is the fact that all the people there, whoever you saw, they are just ordinary people and so relaxed and you know, and all… and since many of them are artists and such and all, well - you really don’t talk about politics or such in there. K: Yeah, right (laughs) S: Yes. K: Well hey, I think that’s wonderful, and besides, that’s exactly how it is. They all are ordinary people, and especially between themselves no one is a bigger star than someone else. For example, did you notice if there were people buzzing around some person a lot more than around the others? S: No, and then like all the people whoever you saw and so… if you yourself are friendly and smile nicely and so, they’re all your… you know… K: Yeah, right! S: So I didn’t see anyone there that would have been like a real kind of a superdiva or… K: Right, exactly. That’s the way it is. In a way it’s just the same where you are partying, so that… S: Right exactly, just the same. K: Right, okay. Well but now you’ve seen all that, too. Goddammit! You get to see and experience all kinds of places. Oh bloody hell! S: Oh wow. K: Okay, but hey – I think we’ve had now so much talk about this year’s Oscar gala that now we’ll continue with the next Tutka. S: Yeah, we had. Hey, I was going to ask about the Oscar gala that did you have this sort of a Oscar Gala viewing party again in Finland (Note: he means, on TV), did you… K: Yes, we did. S: Who was the host? Or reporting or… K: (lists out hosts of the Oscar gala viewing parties) S: Okay. K: Well okay, great. Sauli, it was so nice to hear how it was like there. I’m so happy for you! S: Hey, it was absolutely great! Hey, I’m sorry now that I’ve been a sort of tired and exhausted and all here, but well, I’m sure you understand… K: No we don’t! S: Hey, did you notice, I dyed my hair! It’s darker. K: Yeah, I was actually looking that you look a bit different now. Yeah, looks good. S: Yeah. K: I’ve been complaining to you that dammit, don’t keep that grey hair. So now Sauli has it a bit darker. S: Well I don’t… well I, I… someday I’ll show you a picture… In our last Tutka I had that beanie on so that… You wouldn’t have wanted to see my hair! K: Ok… what happened? It was something totally else then, black? Or yellow…? S: Well… K: Or blue? S: Pretty close! K: Right! But that’s what so often happens, that right before when you’re going to some important event, you put some color on your hair and… (shocked face) S: Well, let’s say it was totally self-inflicted. K: Okay, right. You stuck your head in some rusty barrel or so. But okay, well… we’ll continue with other topics in the next Tutka which will probably come out tomorrow. We were just thinking about all the things we should talk about and we realized that we haven’t had time to watch the American Idol… S: Great way to make Tutka… ”What should we talk about…?” K: .. American Idol at all. But you were saying that Voice is there much more popular now? So tell us briefly about that. What’s happening in it now? S: Well, I don’t know if it’s that much more popular but they are showing it here at the same time now (as AI). Last time they came at different times but this one is coming… K: Yes they did, one after another. S: I just watched Voice on TV today. K: Okay, is it good? S: Well that was the first one…, it’s been going on here for awhile… Those battle rounds are actually starting now in the next episode. K: Yeah. S: But well, so this was the first episode I’ve seen and this was the last episode where they were choosing those… K: Okay. S: … those teams, but there are still those same judges… Christina Aguilera, then that Adam… that singer from Maroon5, and… K: Yeah. S: … JLo, what J J… JLO, what… she’s in the American Idol… but I mean that… K: Don’t ask me about those names because I don’t remember them but I know who you are talking about because I was watching it last year quite closely. S: Yeah, but anyway – the same guys are there, I really don’t need to tell those names. K: (whisks her hand) Phish, why bother! (laughs) S: Why bother! Well, so yeah. K: Yeah, but so it is anyway looking good? S: Yeah. And they do have some incredible singers there, for sure. K: Well, I’ve heard, I mean I’ve watched some of it, and people have been commenting on my blog about it just recently, and I’ve read on the net that it’s almost more popular than American Idol this year, which sounds quite incredible. S: I believe it’s because it’s a newer format and it’s like… well, people already know the Idol and its’ format and how it works. And then, since the Voice is a bit different in a sense that it’s a newer series and program and they make it with a bit different way even though it is a singing competition. But in my opinion there’s also the good thing that there really aren’t any bad singers there. Like they don’t have those in the Voice of Finland, either. K: Yeah, they really don’t. S: Right. K: They are so good, all of them. Okay, there are… (continues with talk about the Voice of Finland)
3:10 K: But the American Idol hasn’t been edited really well this year, anyway. I haven’t liked it that much. Now I have to start watching it more, but they have shown so few of the contestants, like only about four each time, and the program lasts… what… 1½ - 2 hours. S: Yeah. K: They are really long episodes. Well okay, maybe they have shown a couple more contestants. But you know, you remember only the some specific ones, so I think it’s a bit like they are creating those stories which… S: I think it’s really nice though, and in my opinion… I’m so eagerly waiting for the finals to start, and those, when… K: Me too. And then we are going to talk more about both of them (AI and the Voice), it’s then easier for us to talk about them. S: It will be much more interesting and then you really see the whole performance and song and all. It’s now a bit like jumping around and it’s hard to keep up with and you become too tired to follow it. Since you know, when you’ve been watching it for so long, been watching the Finnish Idols… K: Exactly. S: … and then you’ve been watching the American Idol. K: And then there are so many of those… there are so many of them right now that really I’m starting to feel like, this is really getting to be quite a job, even just updating my blog… S: Then there is the Voice and all, so you see… (whisks his hand) There are too many of them now. K: There are just too many of them. Because there’s no way I can during my own free time… and now the new princess was born in Sweden and all… so much work… just absolutely… I mean, I shouldn’t complain, but since I should watch all these TV programs on top of that… there’s just not enough time! S: Yeah. K: Then also, often I’m not at home on Friday nights when the Voice comes. Mostly I watch it on Sunday and that’s when I get to write about it on my blog. And then there’s the Idol right after that, I think it’s nice to watch it then. But well, they are often coming at difficult times. Then there was Putous coming always on Saturdays, it was… Like,for every day there’s something which is like “must watch”. S: Yeah, right. K: Watching TV is already starting to feel like a job. S: About Putous I still have to say that I’m so happy that Leena Hefner won! K: Well, yes, right. (they continue talking about the Putous).
6:10 K: .. now you just changed Usko Eevertti to Usko Toivo! (laughs) (Putous character) S: Well (whisks his hand) whatever! (laughs) K: It’s always you and the names! S: Yes, it is. K: I mean, if I’m mixing up the proverbs, then you are mixing up the names, so this is like a tradition. S: I do, I’m so bad at remembering names that there’s no use in asking me about them. K: Sauli is actually always telling me like “Just don’t ask me about the names! Since I don’t remember them anyway!” (laughs) S: Yeah, I remember when… K: I can’t remember all of them either! (laughs) S: … Katri called me just yesterday when I was or more like had just been at that gala and asked “Well, who were there and who…” and I’m like, “I don’t, I don’t know… they really looked so familiar but I’m just drawing a blank with all the names.” (laughs) K: But that just says it, that actually I think it’s even quite wonderful that one doesn’t know everyone or anything like that, because I think it’s even more sympathetic that at least then you are not going to a party just because this and that and that person are going to attend it, but you are just going there to have fun. S: All those names really, they don’t mean a thing to me… K: Mmmm. Yeah, no. I was also watching some of those photos from Elton John’s party, like who else was there. Sure I did know a lot of people from the pics but I didn’t… the names didn’t… you just can’t… Those people are… you’ve seen them acting in some movies but you just can’t recall their names. S: I can’t ever. So If I’m trying to recall some character from a movie, or for example an actor who was in some movie, I try to find it through another movie… “You know the one who was in that movie where… K: Yes, right. S: … they did this and that.” But for me those names are just… (whisks his hand) Let’s say that I think that I remember the names of their characters better than the real names of those actors. K: Hey, I really had to search for the name of Leena Hefner, I mean the real name of the actress, like, she’s Armi, but I still really don’t remember her last name. This is really awful, this is just terrible. S: Just awful, jeezzhh. Hey, I missed the “Dream Weddings” episode now because of the gala. K: Oh… (quiet laughter) S: Even my mom called, or I spoke with her and she was like “Did you watch it? It was so funny and a nice story.” Now I totally missed it, it annoys me. I’m going to watch it like the first thing tomorrow. First I’m gonna make breakfast for us, and then I’ll start watching the Dream Weddings right away. (They continue talking about the Dream Weddings)
10:03 K: Hey, for some reason people haven’t been able to write comments on your blog. Just so you know. I’ve been getting comments about that. S: Do you mean my own blog? I mean, I have two blogs. K: The blog in Ilta-Sanomat. (Note: Katri had understood wrong since actually the problem was with Sauli’s official blog, and it seems that it’s fixed now.) S: Oh, okay. K: For some reason the comments haven’t gone through, at least some people have been complaining about that. So… but I hope they have fixed that already. S: Or then no one has bothered to write anything there. K: No, people were saying that they can’t get through so I asked them (Tech support) to check it out, I hope they’ve fixed it already today. Let’s hope so. Hey, then another thing… S: Okay, as that’s tech… please no… please don’t… I’m not touching that! K: Yeah, we for sure do have the best luck in the world with all the technical things. S: So right. K: Everyone knows that, for sure. I guess there’s nothing more to do then than just to let it be. S: Listen, if I go there and start pushing some buttons, no one will be able to write anything there after that. I probably couldn’t even get my own blogs published there after that. K: Yeah, I remember when there were some lines coming up there… at some point you managed to create some frames (shows with her hands) and other stuff there and I was just wondering how you… S: Yeah, I did. K: … were doing it. (laughs) S: I don’t know, I really have no… I so hate this… computers and tech things! K: But you do manage to put those pictures and all there so nicely. So you know pretty well how to use it. S: Yeah, I’ve gone through all the schools for this. (laughter) (They continue talking about the Finnish Idol and the Voice of Finland)

This is a very short Tutka, part 2. Part 1. will be published tomorrow (March 7th)
S: (stretches)… brilliant. K: We’re continuing now. S: We are? (laughs) I just settled down here a bit more comfortably. K: Hey, okay… (they start talking about the latest episode of the Dream Weddings. There was a couple in which the man sends to the woman text messages every morning on his way to work saying “I love you” and the woman just answers “Ok, yeah yeah.” Katri and Sauli found this a bit odd and not quite in balance. The couple also has a mutual joke and a way of showing their love to each other by showing their middle finger to each other in front of their faces and saying “I love you”. Sauli imitates that on the tape.). They talk about the program and its’ format in general. Sauli thinks the program is great and insane entertainment and he gives some hard critique to the couples and their guests about their behavior in front of the cameras at the weddings. 8.20 K: And now I’m going up North to Lapland to enjoy the mountain scenery over there for a couple of days. So we’ll see each other next week. S: Oh, you’re going there. K: Yeah. S: Oh okay. K: So that’s why I now… we couldn’t make Tutka later this week, so it was now this… S: We’ll make one next week then. K: Yeah, we are gonna make one next week. S: I won’t be back… I’m also… I’m going on a little trip also, by the way - but I’m not telling where - but I’ll be… K: Oh okay. S: … back here next week again. S: (unclear) K: Well, hey… S: You’re looking so aaawwwwfully prrrretty there. K: Oh? Yeah… thank you (laughs), thank you, thank you. How can I… “and and and and” (they are quoting the comedy character Leena Hefner again in these lines up and below. ) S: And and and you were so aaawwwfully drrrrunk last weekend when you called me. K: Aaawwwwfully… and it’s still just going on (laughs and sips her coffee) S: No, just kidding - we are teetotalers. So, so, so… K: So, well. Hey well, now I have to… I mean, I just heard so wonderful news from Sauli - he’s been at the Universal Studios again, and when I was gushing about the Desperate Housewives here… S: Yeah. K: ... I mean I have to tell you, the Desperate Housewives started here again yesterday… I mean the best parts of the last season. And I just can’t take it… because I… it’s such a good series and I don’t want it to end and I just… I’m enjoying so much every second of it. S: It’s ending now? So it’s the final season of it now? K: Somehow it’s so tragic. S: Well you don’t really know, they might continue it and all. But yeah, I was going to tell you today - I was again… like for the 50th time, at the Universal Studios. And I’ve taken that tour where they show you around the whole area… K: Yeah S: ... at the studios. So far we’ve never toured around the homes of the Desperate Housewives, but today we drove around there. For the first time I saw… I had coffee there on Suussan’s (pronounces the name wrong on purpose) front yard and so. Well, didn’t exactly have coffee, but… there we were at their neighborhood today… looking around… K: Absolutely amazing since we tried to get there when we were there, during the Roadshow… S: Yeah… K: If they happen to be shooting there at the same time then… you can’t get in there. So what, how did you… so you drove around there… you can’t step out the bus, can you? S: Not during the ride… we were on the bus, we saw all those houses and they told us specifically… we went like, to… So, I haven’t been following that series really that much… K: (laughs) S: ... just a little bit, but they told who… K: ... So you can remember the names very well, too… (laughs) S: ... lives where. I just remember that Susan, there were all those other ladies too and… (gestures) But we were told about the houses, like who’s living in which house and… had sooooo much fun (laughs, again a little Leena Hefner imitation). Yeah. K: I think it’s so lovely, that Wisteria Lane. S: Yeah. It was great, it’s such a colorful street. It looks really small when you see it yourself in real life, because the houses are… and then on the series they really look like genuine houses and all, but they really are just facades. K: Yeah yeah, so you could see that there’s nothing behind (the facades) there? S: You couldn’t see the backside because the street runs the way it runs in the series… K: Mmmm S: ... so that it’s circular from the end and then on both sides there are those… (gestures) They were looking great, those fences and all. But really, when you look at them close up from a couple of feet away… K: Yeah, right. S: ... then you really can see that they aren’t real houses. K: Yes. S: And you might see some light coming from the inside and so, they might be from behind like… K: Yes, exactly. S: ....well, like there’s nothing… K: Right, yeah. S: ... like there aren’t necessarily any walls there behind. K: Yeah, yeah. S: But yeah, all the outdoor shootings are done there, and then indoors, the indoors shooting is also done at the Universal Studios but then again inside in a separate studio. K: Okay. So they aren’t shooting those at all in the houses? S: No, only the street views are from there, so those yard views are from that street. K: Okay, that is so… S: (sound breaks) K: ...such cheating! S: But it’s interesting how they do those things, how they can make them look so genuine and all. K: Yeah. Hey listen, I’ve been… S: But let’s say that if you compare… if you compare those, it does look pretty much the same, that street they have made, but of course they are in a smaller scale, those houses and all, but if you compare it to for example Beverly Hills, where there are houses like that… K: Yeah, yeah, right, exactly! S: Yes. K: So basically it does look pretty genuine, but okay - there aren’t houses that colorful even in Beverly Hills, and they are much bigger there too. S: That’s right. K: And they have those really high fences and all… S: Yeah, enormous. 9.30 (Sauli has again a problem in remembering the names of the people in VoF. Katri is teasing him.) K: (laughs) S: What are you laughing at there again? K: It’s just so funny again how well you remember the names, like “That Karoliina or whatever Kallio” (laughs) S: Okay okay! Hey, just remember that it’s once again five to one here at midnight. And you are there just drinking your morning coffee! K: Yeah, but I’m also very tired… S: Yeah yeah! K: … so I’m just as much out of it as you are. S: Well, I have my alarm clock here every time set to ring at quarter to one and then it starts (shakes his head) (laughs) S: Yeah. K: OMG… okay, but hey, let’s watch those… S: (sound breaks) I really am so bad at remembering names that I’m kinda lucky to even remember my own name. K: Yes, I mean, it is so - we just talked about this last time and I even laughed about it… S: And now I can’t even remember what we were just talking about… K: Me neither, so here we go again. But then… (they continue talking about the Idols but first Katri shows the headlines regarding Dream Weddings on the newspaper – they talked about that in the Tutka Part 2. March 6th)
(They talk about the Finnish Idols house, which Sauli thinks is totally horrible, and he criticizes it hard.) 14.45 S: … And in one room they had even slapped my siippa’s face on the wall, so good luck to whoever is going to have to sleep in there. (laughter)

K: It’s taping now (laughs) S: It is? I’ll take the gum out of my mouth… (takes the bubblegum away) K: Good. S: It’s not nice to chew a gum at the same time. K: No, no, it’s not very nice. So, really… Now, in all honesty we… The time for Sauli is now… what are you rustling there? I can hear this awful sound… The time is now… S: I put the gum away… (shows the bag) K: Oh, I see. Yes, the time there is now half past twelve, and Sauli has come home from one of his trips and he’s all tired (laughs). S: It’s 20 to 2 now. K: (an amazed expression, looks at her watch) Noooo, it’s not! Now you’ve got the time wrong there. S: What do you mean wrong time? K: It’s definitely not… it’s not 20 to 2, it’s 20 to 1. S: It’s 20 to 2 because we’ve changed the time here. K: (laughs) This can’t be true! OMG… S: Last weekend we changed the time and moved the clocks one hour ahead, so it’s 20 to 2 here. K: No wonder you were calling, like, ”Katri, can we start already…” S: Yeah. K: Oh that… (giggles) S: I’ve been traveling today from Washington to Los Angeles once again for about 12 hours. There weren’t any travel problems… nothing special happened so it just went… the flights were on schedule and so. And I’m writing a blog about them. And I’ll have to tell you that my previous blog has vanished into thin air, since the latest blog is about my Delta trip… K: Yes. S: … and two weeks or so ago I wrote a second blog and I have no idea where it’s gone… K: Right. S: … but this week I’ll have a couple of blogs coming. Washington blog is coming out tomorrow and… K: Yes, yes, I’m looking forward to that! S: But really, I’m a bit tired here. I’ve been sending Katri messages, like, “Katriii! I can’t stay awake any longer! I’ve been traveling for 12 hours, can I go to bed?” K: (laughs) S: And I really did call Katri about 4 hours ago for the first time. It’s now 20 to 2 so don’t be surprised if the sentences coming out of my mouth are not making much sense today. K: Okay, so I was wondering here like what’s the hurry now, because it’s only about 12 o’clock there. And so it was already one o’clock… (laughs)… oh dear! Hey, but you see, here we change the time… clock only in… wait, what day is it today…? I mean, we don’t change them here until like a fortnight, I think. S: Well, here we changed already, you know. K: Okay, so I see. Kinda surprising. S: … so you see, you see, it’s 20 to 2 here. K: Exactly, great, great. Hey… S: So now we’re getting into business. K: Oh jeez, I for sure take my hat off to you for still being up there. But hey, I just want to ask you, did you see the White House? S: (wrinkles his forehead) Yeah. K: Is it nice? S: Well, I’ll tell about that too (in the blog) K: Hmmph. Tell me even a little bit! Was it… S: Why should I tell you now all because I have to save those stories for my blog? So let’s just… K: Just tell me a short version. I just want to know if it looked as fine as it always does in the movies, or was it as small like the American Idol studio? S: Small… (expression) K: It was, huh? S: (smiles) Mmm. K: So annoying! I mean that, that is so that you go there to see some special thing and then when you’re there you just realize, ”Oh, so that’s all there is…” S: Yeah. K: Okay, so I’ll read your blog then… S: (sound breaks) K: … I promise. S: Well, the White House wasn’t exactly the reason why I went there, but… K: (laughs) S: … it was nice to see it. K: I’ve heard that Washington DC isn’t really that great a place. I’ve always wanted to go there though, because of the White House. S: I liked it. K: Oh, you did? S: Mmhmm. K: Okay, so is it a little bit more homely, like more to the Finnish taste? Since it’s not so big? S: (smiles) Well, yeah… K: You’re so “I’ll tell you more in my blog” (imitates Sauli’s smile) S: (laughs) K: Okay, I promise I’ll read your blog then. S: (stretches his arms) Well, I already started writing it today so I kinda don’t want to repeat the same things over and over. K: Okay, yeah. Of course not. Sauli’s in one of his… moods. (laughter) K: So I’m not going to tell anything I talk… about anything that I’ve written about in my blog which means we actually can’t talk about Idols or the Voice this time… (laughs)… anything at all. S: Let’s not talk at all. We’ll have a silent Tutka. K: Exactly. A little silent moment. Hey well… you just said that you are going to write there also about those American TV programs, so… what shows you have running there now at the moment? There are some pretty amazing kid things going on right now? (They talk about the children’s beauty queen schools and beauty queen pageants. Sauli is going to write about these in his blog, too.) 7.03 S: Hey, that reminds me… that reminds me of how I’ve been… I was going to say this, I’m changing the topic here once again, I’ve been watching so many programs via TV-Kaista (Note: Sauli can watch Finnish TV programs via TV-Kaista), I even watched all those old Tuuri’s, and they are just showing previews of some new programs so there will be new programs for me to watch. And TV-Kaista hasn’t been working today, it’s been overloaded, so I just… K: I was just saying that I’m not surprised about that since Sauli is watching so many programs there, so it’s no wonder! S: Yes, I was watching it even at the airport… figure this out - I was watching it at the airport, at the Philadelphia airport today, I was watching the Finnish Idols on my iPhone (laughs). Almost missed… K: This is what we’ve come to… S: … my flight since I was concentrating so hard (pretends to be staring at his iPhone) (laughs). I had a two-hour layover and the program was two hours long, so when I fast forwarded through the commercials I just managed to watch it through. K: Jeezhh… but you do realize that the sound may not have been the best possible on that iPhone of yours… S: It was! Yes it was! K: It was? S: If you have earphones in your ears… I do have good earphones, I tell you… K: Aaaahhhh… S: … so I heard it really well. Yeah. K: You’re way ahead of me in technique there… I don’t know… S: So don’t you try and mess with me… K: Maybe I should get the earphones for myself too so I could watch a little more programs with that phone of mine. S: Well you have a set of those on your head all the time (headphones) K: (laughs) Well yes, that’s right! A little phone (shows her phone) and then these… (shows her headphones) S: … now I’ve lost my thought, what was I talking about… (They continue talking about the Finnish TV programs.) *.*.* (Talk about the Finnish Idols) 14.10 S: But what about Diandra? K: Well… oh dear God…. I mean, I was really… S: She was so… K: … I was just saying that they could end the competition right here. S: (laughs) K: I mean she is just so superior… there’s no sense in that. She’s just so… S: Go Hyvinkää! Yes! (flails) (Note: Diandra comes from Sauli’s hometown and Sauli knows her.) K: (flails) Yes! And she’s… Diandra has promised to come here as a guest for Tutka, she’s watching our Tutkas every time. S: She for sure will be there. K: Great, Diandra! You’ll be our guest! (shows her thumbs up) K: Yes, yes. (They continue about the Idols.) *.*.* 23.12 K: … but we’ll talk about these later (about the Finnish Idols) S: Yeah. Okay. (laughs) K: Because now the time for you is… tell us what time… it’s two o’clock. S: It’s exactly 2 am. K: So I think it’s time for us to stop now. S: (laughs) K: Okay, we’ll talk more about all these things next time… S: Katri, do you want to try this so that it’s 2 am for you and you are AT HOME? (laughs) S: I guess we all want to see that… K: For sure, really… I mean I really.. Well okay, yeah - at least you would know then what I’d be telling you, all those great proverbs and all those other… S: (sound breaks) … into the closet (laughs, points at the closet behind him) K: OMG… yeah… S: Oh boy… K: Spring has arrived here as well and that is absolutely wonderful. S: Oh wow! K: Mmm. Now we’re enjoying… S: That’s nice. K: … the sun here. S: That’s nice… K: But now, you go to bed now… S: … I also got to enjoy the spring in Washington. K: Oh, great! Well yeah.. right.. spring, that’s true. Since you only have that eternal summer there. S: Yeah, but it was spring there. +20 C and spring. K: Oh, lovely! Wonderful, it’s a bit like… S: Yeah. K: … in Finland then, that weather. S: It was a bit, the trees were turning green and the grass was sort of green… K: Ohh… S: … it was pretty! K: Lovely! I’m so looking forward to the trees turning green here as well. But well, hey good night to you over there… S: Yes. K: … and everybody, have a wonderful week and now, we’ll continue about these then… well… S: We’ll continue. And hey… the Dream Weddings was so boring last time that we’re not going to talk about that, we’ll look for some more boldness and spark in that one. K: It was a little bit strange… S: Yes. K: There wasn’t anything funny there except that when they had met, they’d then talked on the phone like for five hours for example about that there is a HongKong in Nummela. A big HongKong. (Note: Nummela is a small town in Finland and HongKong is a cheap department store chain.) S: (laughs)… A big HongKong… yes. K: That’s it then, a good place to stop now. S: We have all these Tarjoustalos (Note: another Finnish department store chain) and all, huge in size… somewhere in Finland. (laughter) K: … OMG… Exactly.
