HAC just isn't doing much. I think we are going to have to hope for CHR to come through in the next 3 weeks and get things moving. And, really, CHR is where this song should be. Please tell me RCA has a plan! RCA has a plan!!!

Please tell me RCA has a plan! RCA has a plan!!! Lol, ask and Billboard shall deliver. RCA definitely has a plan, also looks like HAC impact date MIGHT BE May 28th ETA: the impact date thing is only my guess because that's when they said the song is going to radio, it's a Monday, HAC is Monday, we already know it's going to Top 40 the day after, etc. I could be totally wrong.

Did you guys get the impression from the Billboard interview that NCOE will be pushed harder to HAC than Pop??? I hope I misunderstood.

The "mainstream" and "Top 40" threw me: RCA hopes to expand on Lambert's pop appeal through radio. Senior VP of promotion Adrian Moreira says the singer's strongest format is adult top 40, whose listeners tend to be females age 18-34. To build on that demographic, Lambert visited mainstream and adult top 40 stations across the country in March to meet with programmers and music directors and perform acoustically for listeners. What is "mainstream" then??

Trespassing Deluxe Itunes Overall: Belgium #14, Finland #42, Netherlands #27, Norway #13 C'mon USA! FFSWhat? So "Adult Top 40" is HAC? And the impact date is 5/28? I thought there was no impact date for HAC? And the impact date for CHR is still 5/29 I guess. I'm confused. And why would they push him to HAC rather than CHR? I loved the BB article tho. They say why right there in the article. It's his strongest format because it is women 18-34. I actually think that is a good thing because the general meme for Idol would have you think he doesn't have any fans under 40. They are aiming for the strongest area first and hoping to expand his audience as they go along. They haven't abandoned CHR, they state that he visited mainstream stations too aren't several of those radio concerts for CHR stations? The biggest thing I get from this article is that they are considering him a "new artist" and not an already established star. This is a really GOOD thing because it means that they have REALISTIC expectations for his performance and not inflated expectations due to him having been on Idol. Rather than thinking of Idol as having already "broken" him as an artist they are thinking of it as a past promotional platform that has SOME carry over but they realize that it is not going to guarantee big sales on a follow up album. That right there tells me that we can relax at least about RCA and their expectations. They obviously don't expect him to burn up the charts based on his Idol history from three years ago.

I agree realism is sooo good right now. IMHO, RCA & Adam's management sound like they are building Adam into an International artist with a long career. Not an over night flash in the pan star from IDOL.All sounds so smart.. deep breath , I'm feeling calm.

I was thinking about this this afternoon. I have been worried about the album sales in Canada. I feel much better after I read the BB article.

I just think Adam needs to do promo in Canada. He did so much after FYE, or at least it seemed like he had a pretty heavy week of it, I remember some huge MTV thing in Toronto. After the promo he really blew up there.
