ETA I think you should watch these pictures, they did a really good job and they have Eber too with really nice quotes for each letter
This is fun! We could make this our own game, coming up with something for Adam for every letter. I like most of their choices, but would have changed a few. I think there would be better choices for K,N and O
I think that Pressparty article is wrong July 22 is a Sunday ...Graham Norton is on Fridays i.e June 22 The show has a good sized audience but can't see why they would delay release just for that ! Anyway we have known he will be on it for 2 weeks...why wait until now to delay the date ?
ETA They tape the day before airing Never known them to wait a month !!
I opened the link again and they fixed it. June 22nd . It was a mistake.
I don't have a way with words, that's why I spend most of my time lurking And I will do my best to make this short and sweet. I've been pondering the sense of unease that can be felt throughout fandom... whether it's fear, worry, or just plain battle fatigue. We've chosen to support a man who's path is difficult on many levels. Change doesn't come easily, Adam knows this and we know it intellectually, but I think emotionally we wish that wasn't so. I think we need to savor our victories, Grammy nomination and a critically acclaimed 2nd album to name just two, but accept that it's going to be a long process. I'm stubborn and Adam deserves success and I'm not going let the difficulties he faces wear me down or take the joy out of supporting such a deserving individual.

A question.. What does it take to get Adam's Never Close Our Eyes On Vh1 top 20??
VH1 24,930 views... Come on already Trespassing was # 1 album in U.S. and Canada, being played more on radio stations, sexiest male singer on Billboard.Great video..Jim are you reading this ? Did you see this video. Patience my ass.
This question has been answered several times, over the last week.
It takes a combination (that no one knows for sure) of a song moving up the charts, a presence on iTunes, fan votes and most likely the most important factor is MONEY from the label.
There are no hard and fast rules for what makes it on VH1 and they certainly aren't going to care about some fan-driven award on Billboard. It doesn't matter if the album was #1, the single from that album needs to be doing well on the HAC or the CHR chart.

I don't think we should be surprised that "gay" is a large part of the dialogue for the Trespassing era. And I do think that most of it IS favorable. After all, Adam DID make music history with his #1 placement of Trespassing. This IS big news and worthy of commentary. What would have been bad if Adam, openly gay singer, released his sophmore album and failed to chart. That would have been bad news. I'll take this commentary anytime. And I think that Adam, whether he chose this role or not, is a brilliant attractive compelling figure for gay progress in this time period. Perhaps I am in the minority in the fandom, but the "gay" dialogue doesn't offend or anger me at all. I just feel so proud when Adam speaks. 8-)
I agree. There were a few journalists who tried to make fun of the "gay" issue and were just vulgar IMO, but I think the vast majority were respectful and genuinely interested. After all, if the public wants to know about it, it's the journalists job to ask about it. And the public does want to know, it seems, and I'm glad they do. Not talking about it keeps it "mysterious" and doesn't help anyone; ignorance begets bigotry IMO. Only when people are informed (and see that gay is just as boring as straight , will they be able to move on to the "post-gay" phase, and just not care any more. Telling people now not to talk about it, won't help their perception and way of thinking. That's how I feel. Now sure it isn't fair that Adam is the one that has to carry the bulk of this burdain. But I must say I enjoy this era's interviews much more than last era's, when it was all about how to apply eyeliner the right way, and what it was like meeting Madonna.
Adam Lambert Tops ‘Sexist Men in Pop’ List By Renee Ghert-Zand
When it comes to sex appeal, it looks like Jewish pop stars have it. How else can The Shmooze account for the fact that three out of the 10 men on Billboard’s “sexiest men in pop” list are members of the tribe?
Billboard polled 600,000 readers, who let it be known that the sexiest male musician out there is — get ready for it — Adam Lambert. The guy is on fire these days, what with being the sexiest singer du jour, plus having recently made it to the number one spot on the Billboard chart when his new album “Tresspassing” sold 77,000 copies in its first week (beating out Adele, no less).
Lambert got 26% of the votes, and joining him on the list are Maroon Five’s Adam Levine in second place with a respectable 12% of the vote. Even though the mononymous rapper Drake pulls up the rear in 10th place with 2% of the vote, his showing is not shabby, considering how many guys didn’t even make the list at all.
We’re sorry to relay that there were no Jews on the sexiest women’s list. But don’t forget that Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli is the hottest woman in the world according to Maxim magazine. And hot on her heels were a handful of other head-turning Jewesses.
Hey, we’re sexy and we know it.

This whole post makes me cry. Bravo! Your words, the video and the Dr. Suess quote are all perfection. Thanks for the reminder.

Adam Lambert delays UK 'Trespassing' album release British fans to wait for release of new album as release moves to 9 July
UK fans of American Idol runner-up and current Queen frontman Adam Lambert will have to wait a little longer before they can get their hands on the singer's new album, as the release of 'Trespassing' has been delayed.
The album will now be released on 9 July 2012, with single 'Never Close Our Eyes' preceeding on 8 July.
Lambert recently performed a solo show at London's GAY club, and will return to the UK for three Hammersmith dates with Queen in July. Speaking of his new Queen role, Lambert said: “I’m so thrilled that Queen found a way to ensure that the fans will get to see this event this summer. I can’t wait to be in London to perform with Queen for these incredibly special shows!”

Finnish Official Sales Chart is previewed right now on radio Aalto. Trespassing is at 13th position after 4 weeks on the chart (last week nr 10). Not dropping too dramatically, yay!
The whole GAY GAY GAY emphasis over the music emphasis is getting old. Unfortunately, that was the initial media sensation around Adam after coming off conservative American Idol, and so the gay is part of the initial way Adam was discussed in the press, and that has stuck.
It doesn't help that sometimes lazy media seems to just repeat what has been said before.
I have often noted that Adam uses the word "notorious" to discuss his fame in interviews rather than the word famous.
He really is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he has often mentioned. All the PR issues he deals with are so complex.
Take winning the billboard sexiest male pop star vote. For most guys, end of story. For Adam, the story broadens to the story of "openly gay male" winning sexiest male pop star. That subtext pulls in a bigger reaction for subsequent articles and mentions, on line audience or not.
It puts an openly gay man out there as a sex symbol, which is good for America culturally; on the other hand, Adam gets some push back by those who are still uncomfortable with this idea, and who may not be open to his music because of it.
I know this poll does not affect much of anything, but it is a microcosm of the kind of problem Adam faces in making pop music. It should be all about the music, but it often isn't. There are so many other factors.
For example, it is often about sex appeal, and Adam has that in spades. When Adam performs, it is sexy. Period. Some (yes, me) love that energy; others are still afraid of and/or threatened by that.
It makes for tricky marketing. And so, today, I am patient. Adam is still trespassing. He knows it and so do I. I want that to change for him individually as an artist, and for our greater society as human beings, and it is in the process of changing, so I continue to do all I can to support his talent. Adam has opened doors and will open more. His talent is out there and it is huge and undeniable; successes and opportunities will come.
He may be trespassing now, but my ass, he is coming in and sitting down at America's table, so get ready.
Ultimately, Adam, and those that follow him, will be invited guests.

I am the darker brother. They send me to eat in the kitchen When company comes, But I laugh, And eat well, And grow strong.
Tomorrow, I'll be at the table When company comes. Nobody'll dare Say to me, "Eat in the kitchen," Then.
Besides, They'll see how beautiful I am And be ashamed--

Q3: blueberry. there should be a two labels on tabs at the bottom of the REPLY box -- one labeled Preview and one labeled BBCode. Can you see these or are they gone?
May 19, 2013 2:08:40 GMT -5
blueberry: Q3, I can still see the labels, but when I click on the Preview label, nothing happens. And every time I start a new post, it automatically takes me to BB Code. Otherwise it doesn't matter, but posting pictures would be easier in Preview (copy+paste).
