Just got back from Rock of Ages. Glad Queen music was too early to be included in this movie. When the 2 males from Abba put the show together for MamaMia, it was cute and worked. This did not work. But I have to admit that Catherine Zeta Jones and Russell Brand stole the movie. Tom Cruise overacted. Alec Baldwin was quite funny too. Do not like Julia Hough's (Ryan Seacrest's girlfriend) voice. The critics have not been kind. It received a 42 on Rotten Tomatoes. I hope that Adam gets to do a movie one day. I just hope he is careful with project that he picks.

I'm being mean now.. Julianne Hough's 22 and gorgeous, sexy when she dances and was dating a country singer and didn't take her movie or singing carreer anywhere. Then she's dating a famous radio personality that's also a millionaire, she's already on her second lead roles. I like her.. and also like her brother.

You know they pretty much changed the story to capitalize on Tom Cruise's star power. His character, in the play, is minor. But since they had him, for the movie, they made him a major role. The young man (can't remember his name) trying to become a rock star but working in the bar/restaurant is the star. The whole story revovles around him. Constantine played it in the play and did an excellent job. The play was so much fun! I don't think I am going to see the movie.

On text requests -- the big texters are 13-17 years old, particularly girls. blog.nielsen.com/nielsenwire/online_mobile/u-s-teen-mobile-report-calling-yesterday-texting-today-using-apps-tomorrow/The target audience for Top 40 stations is slightly older -- 18 to 29. If a local station has a Text Club, then that is a great way to request. For example Q102: Text JOIN to Q1021 (71021): This will sign you up for Q102's mobile club, which enables you to make and receive song dedications, reminders, and more! Q102 does not charge you a thing for this; only Message and Data Rates May Apply. **** Also really cool, useful widget for United States Phone, Facebook and Twitter requests: spins.fm/**** On the preferred way to request from a radio station -- the only bad way to request from a radio station is to request more than once a day. For stations who have NOT added NCOE -- MediaBase write-in is the best because it is most likely to be seen by the PD and MD. For stations who have added NCOE -- MediaBase is fine. They count the same as a tweet or text or online -- and are not attached to any personal info other than an IP address which ID's your geographic location. Here is my rank order of the request options for a station who has added NCOE: 1. The best time to request is doing a station request show -- like 10 at 10. Usually online voting. 2. Most powerful -- voice phone requests. LOCAL ONLY. Listen for a 30 minutes before requesting then call the station number. (see below for number lookup tool). It may take a few tries to get through. They will ask where you are from, the station you are listening to, and your name. 3 TIE: Facebook - (Unless your Facebook account reveals that you are >30) All Facebook accounts are profiled for geographic location and age range. Hard to lie about it. Text Club Requests. 4. TIE: Online and Mediabase. The advantage of these is the only ID is an IP address. Twitter -- unless the station is running a Twitter campaign or actively encourages fans to Tweet requests like Q102. ***** There are some stations that do not really pay much attention to requests -- KIIS LA is one. Best to focus on stations that care about requests. They usually ask listeners to request songs like Q102 Philly and HOT 99.5 Washington DC.

Much of the movie did revolve around Drew, Tom Cruise had maybe 6 scenes in the whole movie (long ones). I had to chcuckle at his codpiece.

Graham Norton was not on this past Saturday, and looking through the TV Times for the next 2 Saturdays, he is not shown on the schedule. It may only be this area - Pacific NorthWest. Does anyone still have the show in their area???

Graham Norton is on BBC America on Comcast in Seattle -- Saturdays in the early evening. I have been DVD'ing it for the past couple of weeks in anticipation with no problems.

It does not show in the TV Times for that day - that could be an error. www.bbcamerica.com/the-graham-norton-show/schedule/
