My WinRAR trial ran out years ago but it still works, they just ask me nicely if I'd like to buy it every time I load it up :dunno:
Just managed to make a DVD of the 2hr 18 min concert youtube posted somewhere here earlier today!!! Yay me!! It seems to be slightly better quality than the 2hr 1min version.
Downloaded a free program called Toobie onto my Mac which lets you copy YouTubes.
I copied the URL for that youtube vid and pasted it into Toobie and the concert downloaded and sent itself to my iTunes folder under Movies. I then burned a DVD from iTunes.
I was just doing this as a test to make sure it would work, though I didn't think it would record the entire thing on one disc since it's over 2 hours. Even though my blank DVD disc says 120min, it downloaded the entire 2hrs 18 min on one disc, no problem. Just played it back on my computer and its wonderful, everything in sync. Great sound and picture! Now to try on TV...
NOTE: At first, it wasn't working (getting Toobie to copy it) until I removed "feature=embed" from the tail end of the URL before copying it. EASY! This program will come in handy.

Note: This is unrelated to making a DVD but I'll say this in case there is anyone like me that didn't realize that iTunes can modify your music and movie files so they are compatible with iPod, iPad, etc. Just click on the movie, in this case, then click on the Advanced tab at the top of your iTunes screen and select "Create iPad version...." or whatever. It modifies the file so you can play it on your iPad. Haven't done this in awhile but as I recall, it maintains the original file as well as the modified file.

OT - Just curious - I have been getting waves of warnings of "malicious url blocked" since about midday. I ran a total scan and no threats in the system, which is reassuring. But it's annoying and still worries me. Has anyone else had this going on?

Will be interesting - going from 250k to arenas to Hammersmith and back to Fantasy Springs - a journey in reverse if you like at least with respect to crowd numbers... but all have their different dynamics which I am sure Adam will embrace and navigate with joy.
Just saw the Parlotones in SF and evidently they play arenas at home in South Africa. They played in SF to a couple hundred people! Boggled my mind, but they gave it their all as if we were in a stadium.
The simple love of music and entertaining seems fuel the fire.
I have watched the video of WWTLF more times than I can count in the last 2 days. I thought I had gotten over my emotional response but this short fan video brought tears to my eyes AGAIN. Indescribably beautiful.
Probably 20 people have said this already, but his voice is SO present in this fan video. So different from the tv audio.

I -- like many others -- have been torn between the Trespassing Adam and Queenbert. I have decided to surrender to the spell of both.
I think the Queenbert will inform Adam about his power, just as I believe Trespassing transformed him.
Trespassing brought out the funky, soulful side of Adam. For all the talk of dance-pop, I am most thrilled by watching Adam discover "Miss Thing", his inner black diva.
It's strange, it's almost as if GNT Adam split into two different Adams, the rocker side becoming Queenbert and the diva side becoming Trespassing Adam
I don't knoooowwwwwwwwwww!!! Like I said earlier, I'm having such a bizarre mind-warp ever since Adam appeared on that Kiev stage.
I mean, supposedly the REAL LIFE Adam is involved with promoting Trespassing, and of course he's been doing it non-stop... but I guess the overriding feeling for so many weeks has one of "struggle" and "uphill battles", mainly because of the piece-of-shit radio stations who won't play his music.

I had so many RL chores that didn't get done today, because I have sat in front of this computer ALL DAY looking at videos ::) but I have to say it has been an AWESOME DAY ;D!
I have been loving all of these fan vids. I love the different perspectives and seeing the crowd reactions. This one just melted my heart, to see all of these young people singing and cheering. Most of them are too young to even remember Freddie being alive and now Adam is bringing the music to life for them and us!! It is overwhelming!!

Adam has to be thrilled to be playing for ginormous crowds, but he has said he loves the intimacy and closer interaction of playing smaller venues - and I'd be surprised if he's changed his mind on that. He probably relishes the different energy exchange he gets from big and small audiences.
If you look at the end, I think this maybe one of the moments that Brain May was talking about... he was just watching (mesmerized) Adam and forgot to play. The videographer was focusing on Brian May and not Adam so you can clearly see BM was mesmerized. :D This was also where Roger Taylor was mouthing, "Yes! Yes!" at the end.
My favorite song of the show because of the visuals, Adam so damn happy and beaming, Brian forgetting to play, Roger's "Yes! Yes!" I honestly can not figure out who is more excited about these shows, but I think it may be Brian and Roger and not Adam! On my MP3's my favorite is Dragon Attack!! So damn sexy!! I might keel over if I ever see him do that one in person!!

Q3: They are working on the Member Search function -- if you are looking for someone use the page numbers to move thru to the person you want. That is working, database look-up is not working.
