Yeah, it's odd because I happened to be Googling abt Bowie today. I came across an article in the Daily Beast written in early June abt the mystery surrounding his whereabouts and suggesting he is living quietly with his family in SOHO and will reemerge when his book is published in the fall. Anyway, I think someone like Bowie would want to make a big splash with something like playing Under Pressure with Queen at Olympics ceremony, but if he's not well enough to be absolute top form, I think he would not partipate.
Anyway, kind of OT, and I worship Bowie, but I still carry a tiny grudge abt him not showing up at Mick Ronson's funeral (Spiders from Mars guitarist). Ian Hunter's still p*ssed at him for that. If you want to see some heart-rending vid, watch Bowie singing Heroes with Queen and Mick Ronson on guitar in tribute to Freddie Mercury. Ronson only lived a couple months longer and he's brilliant, but barely holding on. (I won't bother posting link cuz it's OT and you prolly all have seen it.)
Ok, so let me try to back on topic. Yes, Seolmate, I sooo agree it being pure bliss to enjoy these shows and not worry abt radio, closed-minded PDs, etc. I wandered into the Numbers thread briefly today, and thought, no, I'm outta hear--at least until after London!

That is incredible as it was at #125 when I pulled the numbers at 7 pm this evening. Wonder if it really is all the Queen coverage driving the increase as it's not on sale here in the US.

For some reason, I can no longer view youtubes on IE. I am using chrome, but my Freecorder app doesn't automatically capture the youtubes I view on chrome. Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Update on my DVD burning situation - I've tried several times to dl & burn & each time it says that data will not fit on 120 min. DVD. So now I'm trying to burn at "standard quality" rather than HD. It's taking hours so I'll have to wait to test it. Quality may be really bad.
And a huge THANKS to all of you who replied with helpful info. PostFestumPF - I may try that "avs4you" website next - looks pretty good & easy to use. Rihannsu - Great idea, but I don't have Windows 7 so kinda out of luck .
I'm gonna keep trying until I get too frustrated. Maybe I'll get something decent out of all this! If not, then I'm gonna hit up amw with her offer to copy DVDs!

Minutes is not a good measure of whether or not a video will fit on a DVD. It depends on the frame rate, number of pixels per frame, and audio quality. As a general rule, 60 min of HD video or 120 min of standard quality should fit on a single layer 4.7 GB DVD. A dual layer (9.4 GB) DVD is needed for 120 min of HD video plus a DVD writer which can write to a dual layer DVD - not all can.
I am throwing myself on my brother's mercy in burning a dvd for me. I think I emailed him every single link of the entire show so far. He mumbled and said something about bandwidth which instantly lost me. I need this show.

Discounted tickets can now be bought online for the state fair, which runs from Oct. 12 to Nov. 4, except Mondays and Tuesdays, at the Arizona State Fairgrounds. Season passes are available until Oct. 21 and one-day admissions and unlimited ride tickets are available until Oct. 11.
How great is this - and the new 1n10 drop in center for the LGBTQ youth is a few miles down the road from this venue! I have been wanting to do something for the staff, so I am going to see about tickets for them - and figure out a way to get "as many as possible" for the youth. Radio station tickets, etc. Ideas anyone?
Also - as the time gets closer, I'll remind everyone that I would love to have a brunch or something for the Adamtopians who come from out of town.
